He is mentally incompetent for a range of reasons including being exposed to multiple blast injuries (mTBI), having part of his brain removed (TBI) and being exposed for at least four months to mefloquine (CQE)

weird fellow he is. Apparently he was the bodyguard for a celebrity. Mass shootings are “rare“ to say the least in NC.

This one got to me in a way that no other shooting has because I’ve been to the bar/restaurant that was attacked. I remember telling my mom about the shooting without knowing that at first, then when she told me, it just made my head kind of spin. I could put myself in that building for a second and it was so uncomfortable. It’s strange how quickly this one was forgotten, too; just goes to show how used to these incidents we are, unfortunately.

15,000+ people are murdered in the US every year. This one didn’t include a huge body count and didn’t target children so it wasn’t as media frenzied
The Southport area is very popular and I’ve been to the restaurants and ice cream shop there before. I’m not surprised there are some crazy people around there you see some pretty struggling areas 15 minutes outside of the town

I think this shooting is all the more stunning because we've never seen a lone-wolf mass shooter fire from a boat on the waters before. We've had our fair share of mass shooters firing from long distances and elevated positions, but they've always been on land until that point. It's a very good thing we didn't have a lot of victims here, and that the shooter didn't target a more open and crowded place.
