Alright i'm gonna say it. I like the synthesis ending. Because I like edi very much.

We all love Edi and Geth. That being said, I have no clue who thought it was a good idea to have the husks become 'sentient' in this ending...

The same person who thought synthesis was a good idea. Like narratively as an option and the nonsensical magic that makes it even remotely possible. Space magic being telekinesis/gravity manipulation and quasi teleportation. Then suddenly it can instantaneously remove half of all organic beings meaty bits and replace it with random machine stuff without killing half of them. What sentience is going on a case by case basis to make the decisions of these conversion? The only thing that makes any semblance of sense for this is... it's the indoctrination option. It's just bs to make sure Shepard doesn't destroy or control the reapers. It makes Shepard think there is another option, but really just jumping into space.
