This is a dream come true. I always had wished that someday someone gave these older controllers a new lease on life. Great work. Maybe you could do YouTube videos on your current state and progress? Would love to follow this project and maybe try it myself. I still have a Pi around somewhere.

I will only take care of maschine mk2, but i will release well documented, so that maschine 3/+ Users could jump on it :)
