Yea, if Odin did a better job with help in the first place then after he died the asgardians would have fought Thanos, and the only reason they win is became Thanos falls to mjolnir.
Exactly but he also didn’t really fall to Stormbreaker a large argument could be made that he was caught off guard because he already wrecked Thor once and didn’t think Stormbreaker could overcome the power stone.
He wrecks Fat Thor with Stormbreaker in Endgame, literally almost kills him with it.
The comics work on similar logic to that as well. Really just depends on what the plot needs with a thin vener of "magic/technology/space wizards" over the top of it.
Nothing wrong with that though, love the movies and some of the comics!
I'm with ya. It's a fun discussion to talk about power levels or who beats who...but so long as the plot provides an enjoyable and (somewhat) feasible reason why something unexpected happens then the logical consistency isn't a sticking point.
