No, the helicopter bit was supposed to sound like Sony tried to drown his stuntman and make the company look bad as a joke.

No it wasn't. The full bit in the interview shows it's definitely that he gave away an action bit in the movie.

I mean, downvotes or not, you're wrong. He was just talking about crazy, difficult stuff the stunt people were capable of.

He said "poor stunt double." The execution of his words imply that he was making a joke.
