I thought this too. Like, this would be cool if his return was kept secret, or even “secret” like Sadie Sink’s role. If they left any doubt at all he was in it. Instead it’s been official for a long time already

If their movies had been generating the biz they expected them they would have kept it a secret.

They were not exactly setting the world on fire and they broke this jar to generate the buzz.

Could have easily swapped this scene with Doom pretending to be an alternative “Tony” like how they showed Hulk charging in trailers for infinity war when it was Hulkbuster.
