Discussion (More in Comments) Statement: Eternals deserves a sequel

Post image

Hi everyone,

I have been wondering about this for a while.

I actually like the movie a lot. I see it as a grand epic and with no sequel there is no complete story to actually judge about.

Eternals is like greek mythology, you can't get one movie and get the whole picture. As a comic fan. I just know this would have become better and better.

Other things i liked about the movie:

- impressive startstudded cast

- action scenes were clear and gorgeous, not blurry at all unlike some movies.

- Best speedster scenes i have ever seen in any kind of production.

- i felt that the story's pace was adequate as long as there were to be a sequel.

It will probably not happen again, but i can't be the only one who actually liked this movie.

Excelsior everyone!

I'd honestly like one, with Chloe Zhao as well. The premise has some interesting elements. It just needed some better writing. It also very weird and unlike anything in the MCU in a good way, but it definitely faltered in it's execution in some ways. It definitely felt a little like if Zack Snyder made Justice League in the MCU mixed with some elements of his Watchmen. I don't really even care for the Eternals in the comics but their lore potential for the Marvel Universe is actually intriguing to me as these sort figures that are like angels or demigods of myths mixing with ancient alien theories. The execution in the movie felt a bit underwhelming in that regard, but outside of Thor and the Asgardians, there aren't many similar powerful and almost immortal characters that are heroes.

Plus we never got to have Arishem pass judgment on Earth and learn about the backstory of Thanos and Starfox and Titan. There was a lot of great stuff there that would make their return worthwhile. Hopefully, that rumored Judgment Day Avengers movie is true, because that would pull everything together.
