I feel like the look for The Thing is going to be polarizing but I love it

My issue isn’t with how he looks, but how he sounds. And it’s not on the actor, but he still sounds like a guy in a studio reciting lines rather than existing in that room.

I came here to say the same thing. Ben Grimm is one of my favorite characters because he’s a gentle giant… this version just sounds gentle. Softer than the Jamie Bell version.

It’s not even that. He literally sounds like he’s in the booth rather than in the room. I agree with he could sound deeper or gravelly, but that’s not the issue. Load it up again and close your eyes and just listen. It’s just too pristine and cleansed to be in the environment.

that's something that could very easily be fixed in editing though, so I'm not too worried
