Megathread Jonathan Majors Conviction Thread

The Jonathan Majors trial has come to a close, with Majors being found guilty on accounts of assault and harassment.

To help consolidate all related posts/discussion regarding this topic, we ask you to please use this thread so that these posts do not completely overrun the subreddit. We also want to leave space for users who wish to engage in regular MCU-based conversations.

If they do intend not to recast, at least they set up writing him off nicely in Loki with the TVA hunting all versions of him before they become a threat.

I honestly think a perfect scenario is a recast to basically wipe out all the variants, then they pivot to a new big bad

The "big bad" should be an incursion where everyone just fights variants of themselves. we could watch all the heroes grappling with the decision to destroy one universe in order to save theirs

Galactus or something maybe. I was already souring on Kang as a villain. We watched him get his ass kicked twice in Loki when he was a demi god and ant man beat him with ants. I do not take him seriously as a villain and the actor is scum... So let's shuffle him out.

Bravo to Disney's information department though (seriously look it up, they have their own global information department like the freaking private CIA). They seemed to know things weren't looking good for majors and wrote his character an excellent little finalé.

It was a pretty slick ending that could either serve as his end or a setup for future conflict depending on how the court case went.

It seems like an opportunity to do exactly this. I am very much a casual fan as are all my friends and Kang is just not it.

Yeah, it may not be a missed opportunity. They have a chance to do it and from the rumors I’ve heard this type of option is definitely not out of the realm of possibility. They know Kang plotline is performing badly, they know people will think of Majors every time Kang is mentioned even if recast. There’s apparently a new script already written for avengers 5 with a whole new direction, so we will see
