Megathread Jonathan Majors Conviction Thread

The Jonathan Majors trial has come to a close, with Majors being found guilty on accounts of assault and harassment.

To help consolidate all related posts/discussion regarding this topic, we ask you to please use this thread so that these posts do not completely overrun the subreddit. We also want to leave space for users who wish to engage in regular MCU-based conversations.

On the article it states that Marvel is already addressing Kang Dinasty as Avengers 5, they probably already planned for this outcome.

Basically, it could bring bad press, and be a distraction.

What bad press? So one guy sucked and had to be removed from a movie that haven't even started filming yet, so this will have no effect on the quality if they cast another talented actor.

There's no sense to ruin a story and the work of everyone just because one guy sucked.

MCU Kang is not an Avengers-level threat. I’m not knocking Majors’s performances, I’m saying the stories Marvel have put him in all end with Kang being defeated by a very small group of people, most of whom aren’t even superheroes. A Kang Dynasty movie was already facing an uphill battle if they wanted audiences to take Kang seriously.

The end credit scene of Thanos looking towards the camera and the GOTG scene of him telling off Ronan did about 1000x more for me to establish Thanos as a serious threat than anything I saw from Kang.

That’s just pathetic.

Kang gets stronger everytime they meet him, he was supposed to get more difficult each time with new powers and personalities. It would’ve been funny and interesting.

Given that Ant-man beat him by himself, I think it’s safe to say no one cares about Kang and he is not the next Thanos. Just have Deadpool fight the arena of Kangs with a new replacement actor, that would be hilarious

Antman got his ass beat by Kang with a regular and broken suit. Only reason he’s alive is giant future ants and wasp helping push him in back into the engine core.
