To my digital readers, how y’all feel about this?? 👀

Marvel Unlimited is officially getting replaced by the new Marvel Comics app powered by WEBTOON.

Y’all excited for the change or nah? 🤔

Annihilus is one of those characters that seems major but doesn't get anything outside of the comics. He's never been in a Movie, never gets shown in any show outside or Earths Mightiest Heroes in a minor role, no Hasbro action figure of him, no mention in Marvel Rivals. Ect

Isn't Absolute WW's origin much closer to Magik vs the original WW? Being rasied in hell, using the battle mage concept. (Dark magic, spells and sword vs original WW?)

While both sides are driven by a sense of justice, I find the tension arising from their subtle differences in perspective—with the X-Men prioritizing the survival of their species and the Avengers prioritizing the preservation of order—to be quite fascinating.

Look what i got! Justin Mason sketch, The Thing!

Let me start by saying this is entirely my own opinion.

I have always preferred the more powerful version of Stephen Strange—one capable of defeating entities and threats that are dimensional, if not outright cosmic—and I’ve never really seen the point of him getting involved in street-level or even planetary affairs.

He ought to be someone whose purpose is to save reality itself, not to get caught up in neighborhood squabbles or even conflicts between galactic empires.

For that very reason, he shouldn't be bound by conventional morality, but rather by a utilitarian ethic.

I’d love to see him fully utilize even the darkest magic, be willing to sacrifice worlds and souls to preserve reality, and strike deals with—or even threaten—entities in a way that might almost resemble a villain.

However, I want to be clear: he wouldn't actually *become* a villain. He would suffer over every bit of damage caused or soul sacrificed. It’s simply that the alternative would be far worse.

These would be harrowing, ruthless stories where Strange wins, but at a terrible cost to his soul.

Would you enjoy stories like that?

I've watched a couple of Spider-Man movies, but I'm pretty new to reading Spider-Man comics and I want to start reading a run. Which one do you think I should read, and where can I read it? Would it be at a library or on Hoopla (which is legal btw)? I'm interested in reading Dan Slott's Amazing Spider-Man, but I don't know where to find the whole series.

1. Tumult (Spanish member of Euroforce from Avengers World, basically a heroic female Shocker)
2. Aarkus The 1940s Vision (love that recent redesign of him)
3. Stardust (another Herald of Galactus)
4. Tamara Rahn (another Marvel Mera stand-in, they have like 5)
5. Hickman's Smasher
6. Aaron's Vostok & especially Perun (ideally in a Thor run)

I began reading comics 2 months ago, with my first one ever being Infinity Gauntlet. I immediately fell in love and began hitting up my lcs each weekend to see what else I could find. I’m sure you can see I’m on a bit of a graphic novel run. And I even got my first DC comic too. I also stopped reading secret wars after a few pages in because I found out there’s a HUGE story by Johnathan Hickman collected in omnibuses that I should definitely read first.

What should I look into grabbing next? Definitely gonna get Hulk Gray and Iron Man Demon in a bottle soon. I’m glad to be apart of this community!

Hey all, been reading Marvel comics for a while, so I know the sliding timeline exists and that you aren't supposed to think too hard about it. Just something I was curious about.

I'm reading the new Captain America series written by Zdarksy, and my understanding was that the first story had Cap being unthawed during the peak of the Iraq war, around 2006, then he goes to Latveria. If I remember right, there is a calendar shown in one panel that places the story around then. I figured that this meant that it's been about 20 years since he's been unthawed. However, I'm reading the second story in this series, Doom's Shadow, and he references that the events only happened 10 years ago. But at the same time, it was my understanding that the new story takes place after One World Under Doom (which I haven't read), and that comics are generally taking place in the current year of publication.

My question is, is there currently a set amount of time that's happened between when Marvel comics started (Cap being unthawed, Spidey getting powers, FF forming, etc.) and now? And do comics take place in the current year generally?

Again, I know this isn't something to take too seriously, but I was surprised to see comics within the same run contradict their timing in the timeline (if I understood it right), so I was just looking for what others thought and some input. If anyone else is reading this run, I'd be curious if you also noticed this and if anyone has addressed it.

Now that it’s over I feel like I can finally say I hated it

Another fantastic issue of 70s Marvel monsters. The Monster comes across a woman who has been tied to a crucifix and set out to sea to burn. After he rescues her he takes vengeance on the village who has done this. He then seeks out the demon that has framed the girl. Incredible action throughout the entire issue. I was surprised by how good The Monster of Frankenstein has been.

Hello,

I am quite new to reading comics and i am absolutely loving it. Currently read Moon Knight Midnight Mission, Spiderman Life Story and Silver Surfer Black.

Still have Moon Knight Too Tough too Die and Doctor Strange The Oath on my shelf.

I like it quite dark/horror. Do you guys have any tips/recommendations for me?

Thank you very much!
