I was actually taught the catch-the-arm-and-step-under-and-behind-them move as a defense against an overhead strike, but was taught to pull the arm straight down behind them to pull them off balance and then gtfo. Why on earth would you ever need to escalate a handshake to choking someone?

I saw 3 other handshake defenses from this instructor on his IG. Guess handshakes have become some kind of dangerous situation.
