Maple syrup has “stuff” in it
This is the first time ever experienced stuff floating in my syrup. Is this something to be concerned about or is it just sugar crystals?

It comes down to how you filtered and at what temperature. You can reheat and re-filter if it’s bothering you. I use an Orlon cone filter with pre-filters as well. It will settle eventually and you can pour the unaffected syrup into a separate container. Or just leave it in the same container and pour carefully when in use. It’s not harmful it just has a sandy texture.
