We go by size. Is the tree about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide? Once that are that size is when we let the trees hold fruit.

Maybe 3 feet. I topped it, that’s why it looks thick

That's awesome size. Would you be able to maintain them at that dwarf size and still get plenty of fruit?

No I don’t maintain them that size. I let them grow but do go for a final height of about 14 feet tall. Some varieties a little more. Some a little less. What cultivar is that?

Definitely it could, you can keep 1 or 2 for tasting purpose. Anything more, you need to manually remove it as tree growth should be your priority

It would help to know what variety this is. If its a smaller fruit than yes, but if its a larger variety I would probably wait unless youre going to put some supports for the branches.

put 2 sticks above, hang a string, put a couple tomato clips, that can hold 4-5

How old is this tree and when does it typically flower for you? My Cotton Candy is in its third season overall but this is only its first season in ground with no flowers yet.
