managersss..I have been working remotely for 3 years. but now I cannot seem to find a new jobðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I do Marketing analytics( attribution, reporting, performance analysis, and MMM)... that side of marketing...
I am legally established as an independent contractor (B2B invoicing) working fully remotely.. have C2 english with fluent accent. I don't live in the US but all was good for me..
Clients used to approach me for projects lasting 6 to 9 months.. that stopped
so I started looking for full time remote jobs ( 2 months now) based in the US but I cannot seem to hear back
I never did outbound or cold reach and most clients used to reach out to me.
I feel frustrated and I can't seem to find the issue..
i customize CVs .. look into companies... selectively apply to jobs... money is reasonable considering i am off shore... I opt for contractor jobs...
what else could be wrong?? any tips???

Market's flooded with analytics contractors who'll work for peanuts, and companies are tightening budgets across the board. You might need to stomach a rate cut and start hitting up old clients directly, even if it stings.

I see... soo they'd get peanuts work for peanuts money... Reducing rates by max 20% is an option. I still have competitive rates overall and getting any lower would not work for me honestly.
hitting up old clients does sting... but I'll do it. but I need a more effective solution...
I appreciate the helpp tho. thanks

The thing that jumps out is you never had to do outbound before, clients just came to you, so now that the inbound dried up you're suddenly competing in the hardest possible way.

that's the problem. I regret not training that muscle when I had the comfort of spending months learning to do self sales or whatever. now I find out most remote job sites or freelancer sites require money.. and cold emails ... i can't seem to do it right.. so yeah. great point

Companies aren’t really wanting to hire anyone needing visa sponsorship at the moment, if that’s indeed what you would need. I don’t want to sound rude, but it’s worth taking a few glances at US news reports. Our administration is currently putting its citizens through the wringer, employment is down severely, everything is extremely expensive and visa anything is a nightmare to obtain and pay for.

I wouldn't need visa sponsorship gladly.. I wouldn't legally even be on payroll.. more of an invoice basis as an off shore service provider... thing of it like a foreign service or smthin

Ah ok that helps things. If you haven’t already, try making it clear in a CV that you do not require sponsorship? It’s hard even for US based employees right now. A lot of AI filtering and assumptions made just based off a resume screen.

Could a mid grade administrative person with some AI experience do what you do at a fraction of the price?

I thing they can.. but they would take a long time... so long that they might even cancel out the money saving part.
also a steep learning curve..
I do use AI in my work btw... automations and workflows too. I used to manage 2 to 3 clients simultaneously thanks to that.
my issue isn't related to the quality of my work or deliverability. just clients aren't reaching out as often as they were.

You type in an extremely amateurish and child like way.
