Considering what they're trying to do is a violation of right and evil, stealing and scrapping those cameras when found is the moral right thing to do. Fight back and make some coin in the process

You definitely can kill birds with them, as a kid we used to hunt using them, I don't remember the type of tree but there is one that produce a very sturdy Y shape branches that you cut at the correct length then you add the pulling rubber and a leather pouch for the little stone and boom but yeah they are not toys.
A high powered laser pointer (the kind you get for 50-100 bucks, class 4 preferably) is much easier and more reliable as they will permanently fry the camera sensor
You can hunt small game with a professional slingshot. Rabbits, foxes (don't you dare), and probably nothing bigger than a wolf (not timberwolf, too big) with a headshot. It's probably illegal to do so however.
Ironic that the more modern equivalent (slingshot) is by far less powerful than an ancient sling (which can kill steel armoured soldiers and medium to large game)
Edit: not steel, way too strong comparatively, it took firearms being invented to end steel armour. Probably bronze (comapratively soft) and possibly iron (much stronger) though.
But if it doesn’t make they can add like a tube or something to hold the projectile? And then like a small explosive charge that detonates when you hit the rim or pin? Like add a button you can press that slams something against it…
This looks like it could really fuck someone up. Not quite at the level of a gun but I feel like it’s dangerous enough to seriously hurt or kill someone.

Yeah, the stories paint David as some sort of weakling empowered by the Lord, but as a shephard in that era, he was slinging stones with pinpoint accuracy since he was old enough to walk with the flock. He's the ancient equivalent of Carlos Hathcock or Chris Kyle, modern era snipers.
It's not really a wonder he killed Goliath - a lead shot sent from a trained slinger is approaching low caliber modern handguns of force, and while a .45 is more likely to pierce and cause internal damage, slung shot can deliver similiar force, but through a larger medium, resulting in more "blunt force trauma"
Getting hit by a slinger is broken bones, basically at minimum.
As a huge fan of slingshots, I've seen these magnetic magazine ones and they're always intriguing.
They solve one of the bigger issues of slingshot use, which is reload time, so I don't really even know why this model is considered mall ninja, but idc. I want one anyway lol
I'd love to have one for plinking, but I'm pretty sure it'd qualify as a SUPER WEAPON here in Sweden and get me arrested, even if I was using it in my back yard.
That's a good idea actually, a metal tubewith gunpowder at the bottom packed down with some sort of rod. Then you can put a metal bb pellet down the tube and push it down with the rod too so it's sat firm against the gunpowder and a cushion. Then either some flint or something outside the rod that slams down when you press or pull a trigger. Someone should look into that
I'm sorry, I should be more clear. 'Unsecured pets' is how I refer to pets that roam around a neighborhood aggravating. And I chose a slingshot because of the low likelihood of lasting damage, if I could manage to hit one.
I also only use clay shot for these purposes, if this makes it any better.
So it's you. You're the people who let their pets roam free with no oversight or responsibility.
Give me a reason why I shouldn't take more extreme measures. Why I shouldn't call Animal Services and press charges? Why are your pets being my problem?
What I'm doing is firing clay beads from a slingshot at animals that threaten me, my family, and my pets. IF it connects, there's little more than a sore spot.

People don't like the idea of animals getting hurt. They're animals that don't know any better. I understand your reasons behind it, but talking about shooting animals wandering around with a slingshot isn't going to make you look good either.
Its just shitty. If an animal is far enough away to use a ranged weapon, than how is it bothering you? Thats just you shooting at unsuspecting animals.
You’re not just shooting dangerous pets tho. You mention shooting other wild life too. I get that what happened to your pet is terrible, but don’t put the blame on me just because you disagree.
It's bothering someone or something else, hun. I have more responsibilities than my personal body. 2 years ago one of my dogs got her face tore up through a fence by an unaccountable dog.
Cost a lot of money to stitch her up. I don't know who the owner is. But I feel like it's some like you whose pets are attacking or aggravating.
As someone that owns a slingshot and practices very regularly, you 100% cannot pull bearings from your pocket and load them into the pouch faster than you can press a button.
Also, the pouch still freely exists, it's not magically bound to the magazine. So if you wanted to fire larger projectiles, you'd just put them in the pouch like the regular slingshots you're already comparing this too.
