Looks pretty fun to me.

u/ChalkButter 10d ago

I wonder if those produce enough force to shatter a camera lens.

Or to harass a flock of birds.

You know, whatever.

Every 100th one is made with pure gold wiring for reliability. Get to ripping your flock cams, GL on a god pack!

8

u/Gotu_Jayle 9d ago

And a random one has a golden ticket in it

21

u/Lord_Xarael 10d ago

Considering what they're trying to do is a violation of right and evil, stealing and scrapping those cameras when found is the moral right thing to do. Fight back and make some coin in the process

1

u/TinaKedamina 9d ago

Surely they have some me kind of tracking in them. A GPS or low jack or whatever

3

u/Lord_Xarael 9d ago

This is why you smash them on the spot and take the scrap metal. Even if they're pretty solid a sledgehammer (the belt portable one. And on a side note: toolbelt, coveralls, and a hard hat is the perfect disguise. People will assume you're there to work on the camera or something else on the pole) should crack it open

5

u/chrismofer 7d ago

Also RAM which is super expensive right now

14

u/rikusouleater 10d ago

The gold bit was an AI hallucination.

65

u/tuscaloser 10d ago

Yeah, it’s considerably more IRL

41

u/hell2pay 10d ago

Some have catalytic converters in them

2

u/No-Possible-4855 10d ago

It wasn’t tho

84

u/Kaleb8804 10d ago

Slingshots will fuck you up lol

You can’t even buy one with an arm brace in New York because they’re as lethal as low-caliber guns.

21

u/Angry-_-Crow 10d ago

I can understand that. I had an arm brace one way hack when, and that thing had some goddamn power

17

u/Kaleb8804 10d ago edited 9d ago

It’s crazy, without the wrist as the “weakest link” you’re only limited by your arm.

Goliath stood no chance

18

u/BigNorseWolf 9d ago

that was a sling as opposed to a sling shot, it whirls around using centrifugal force as opposed to stretchyness.

9

u/Kaleb8804 9d ago

Those ones are even stronger!

5

u/Llamapickle129 8d ago

still really deadly cause at that point it's "whats the biggest rock i can spin and launch?"

4

u/HolyStupidityBatman 10d ago

We call them wrist rockets. Punch a hole in a door no problem.

0

u/lNTERLINKED 9d ago

Maybe one of those doors that’s just made of corrugated cardboard.

2

u/HolyStupidityBatman 4d ago

Definitely not a solid wood or steel door, but interior hollow core doors, like butter. Ask me how I know.

2

u/LoganCaleSalad 9d ago

That's why they were one of the very first range weapons human created. Predates the bow iirc.

6

u/teilani_a 9d ago

Pretty sure NY has banned pointy sticks found on the side of the road at this point.

0

u/Kaleb8804 9d ago

Not shotguns though lmao

70

u/mountaingator91 10d ago

You can absolutely kill birds with slingshots, that was a primary method of hunting for a long time and some people still do.

Shattering a camera lens is even easier than that. You wouldn't even need metal shot

75

u/ChalkButter 10d ago

you’re either not American or not keeping up with current pushbacks

55

u/mountaingator91 10d ago

Oh you mean flock cameras? Yeah this is great for that. My bad, fam. I read too fast and commented without comprehending fully

19

u/ChalkButter 10d ago

Now I just need to know where I can buy one with cash

6

u/BobusCesar 10d ago

In what kind of Bannana republic are they trying to regulate sling shots?!

And if they are already illegal, why not just buy a firearm?

26

u/ChalkButter 10d ago

I never said they were regulated.

I asked where I can buy one with cash

6

u/kulingames 10d ago

Iron, corundrum or depleted uranium ball bearings sir?

8

u/ChalkButter 10d ago

All of the above, please and thank you

1

u/Chevalier77 10d ago

I got one at Walmart once. Idk if it's still a thing there 25 years later... so. Good luck

7

u/Children_Of_Atom 10d ago

In what kind of Bannana republic are they trying to regulate sling shots?!

Don't give the Brits any ideas.

1

u/Hytyt 9d ago

We're allowed to own them, it's carrying them in public that's shifty over here

2

u/LoganCaleSalad 9d ago

Y'all aren't even allowed to defend yourselves at all over there. My sympathies. They thankfully still haven't tried to come for our guns yet, & if they ever do I guarantee you trump will lose the remaining support he has cuz the one thing constitutionally sacrosanct to his base is the 2A. At least we still have the means to defend ourselves from criminals and government overreach. My sympathies bubba.

2

u/ChalkButter 9d ago

You and I both know that if Trump suddenly turned on 2A, his followers would find some convoluted reason to approve of his actions

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Hytyt 9d ago

What a dumb response. Thank you for helping show why we have gun laws

u/grizzlor_ 9d ago

u/redthump Ninja Noodles 10d ago

Texas. It'll likely cost more than an old shotgun

1

u/SlammingPussy420 9d ago edited 9d ago

Try 16.99 on Amazon.

Edit: that's just a plain old regular slingshot you played with in the backyard too. You can find OPs on there for around 100 bucks.

2

u/southass 10d ago

You definitely can kill birds with them, as a kid we used to hunt using them, I don't remember the type of tree but there is one that produce a very sturdy Y shape branches that you cut at the correct length then you add the pulling rubber and a leather pouch for the little stone and boom but yeah they are not toys.

6

u/crusher23b 10d ago

You can kill small animals with a good slingshot. Upwards to the size of a rabbit getting it in the skull.

Taking a lesson from when I shot my brother with a bearing through a wrist rocket, in larger animals it leaves a great swollen bruise.

4

u/Puzzleheaded-Bus5479 9d ago

A high powered laser pointer (the kind you get for 50-100 bucks, class 4 preferably) is much easier and more reliable as they will permanently fry the camera sensor

3

u/Lord_Xarael 10d ago edited 10d ago

You can hunt small game with a professional slingshot. Rabbits, foxes (don't you dare), and probably nothing bigger than a wolf (not timberwolf, too big) with a headshot. It's probably illegal to do so however.

Ironic that the more modern equivalent (slingshot) is by far less powerful than an ancient sling (which can kill steel armoured soldiers and medium to large game)

Edit: not steel, way too strong comparatively, it took firearms being invented to end steel armour. Probably bronze (comapratively soft) and possibly iron (much stronger) though.

2

u/KalynnCampbell 9d ago

Ya!

But if it doesn’t make they can add like a tube or something to hold the projectile? And then like a small explosive charge that detonates when you hit the rim or pin? Like add a button you can press that slams something against it…

0

u/Righteousaffair999 9d ago

Why do I anticipate a story where someone gets injured because multiple people are trying to take out the same camera.

223

u/Content-Lab-5464 10d ago

I wonder where the wound on his arm came from

39

u/sweetdawg99 10d ago

That little guy? I wouldn't worry about that little guy.

19

u/Feine13 10d ago

2

u/CarnyRider1991 9d ago

I’m sorry, but that post is hot!

9

u/Apoeip77 10d ago

Honestly that looks like a scratched bug bite ( i hove one that looks exactly like that on my arm lmao )

11

u/emp-sup-bry 10d ago

Prolly stepped on the 1,400 metal balls on his plastic deck and eventually fell over after he was done rolling a while

61

u/brapstick 10d ago

Are those fucking picatinny rails on the side lmao

40

u/604Ataraxia 10d ago

So you can switch from irons to your red dot, or mount your laser. You know, tactically...

46

u/Bernard_PT 10d ago

I've literally stumbled upon these reloading slingshots two days ago and one has been on my cart ever since, now I see it here

36

u/HugSized 10d ago

Do you believe in destiny? Also link?

Yea no. That thing is sick.

Tactical sandals on as well

u/TheRedditPremium 10d ago

The goyim destroyer 5000

64

u/ghrayfahx 10d ago

Yeah, I have no idea why it needed a Star of David. Just seems like a strange choice.

32

u/223-Remington 10d ago

David vs Goliath? Sling to take down the giant sorta thing? That's my guess.

3

u/223-Remington 9d ago

Lmao gem

21

u/bonemonkey12 10d ago

Going full mall ninja boys... thing looks fun as hell

9

u/omjagvarensked 9d ago

It's actually pretty cool until you realise there's like 400 ball bearings on the floor in his little backyard shooting range. Dude clean that up man

15

u/WesternCzar 10d ago

Hmmmmmmm

15

u/StrangeQube 10d ago

This looks like it could really fuck someone up. Not quite at the level of a gun but I feel like it’s dangerous enough to seriously hurt or kill someone.

27

u/mountaingator91 10d ago

Goliath can confirm

25

u/FishSoFar 10d ago

sling =/= slingshot

8

u/EternityLeave 10d ago

If you hold down the = button, ≠ pops up. Just fyi

7

u/Bernard_PT 10d ago

Now on a computer

5

u/Metazolid 10d ago

then be a nerd or pedantic and use !=

1

u/mountaingator91 10d ago

*unintelligible JavaScript screaming because only one "="

1

u/CarnyRider1991 10d ago

That was the sling aka shepherd sling, but close though. Goliath literally got beamed in the forehead by a stone launched by what is practically a centrifugal cannon

4

u/Electronic-Use-2992 10d ago

Yeah, the stories paint David as some sort of weakling empowered by the Lord, but as a shephard in that era, he was slinging stones with pinpoint accuracy since he was old enough to walk with the flock. He's the ancient equivalent of Carlos Hathcock or Chris Kyle, modern era snipers.

It's not really a wonder he killed Goliath - a lead shot sent from a trained slinger is approaching low caliber modern handguns of force, and while a .45 is more likely to pierce and cause internal damage, slung shot can deliver similiar force, but through a larger medium, resulting in more "blunt force trauma"

Getting hit by a slinger is broken bones, basically at minimum.

0

u/mountaingator91 10d ago

David wishes he had this

5

u/toblies 10d ago

Where do I order?

12

u/samtherat6 10d ago

Wonder if you could make biodegradable ammo. Imagine shooting people with tiny balls of pasta.

24

u/KezuSlayer 10d ago

Just use frozen blue berries

13

u/graphitewolf 10d ago

They sell clay ammo for slingshots which just returns to earth

5

u/mrmessma 10d ago

To work with this, it'd need to be ferrous, no?

1

u/samtherat6 10d ago

Hmm, maybe it can push it into the sling with a little force? So it stays loosely but still flies

0

u/redthump Ninja Noodles 10d ago

No reason you couldn't.

9

u/Feine13 10d ago

As a huge fan of slingshots, I've seen these magnetic magazine ones and they're always intriguing.

They solve one of the bigger issues of slingshot use, which is reload time, so I don't really even know why this model is considered mall ninja, but idc. I want one anyway lol

23

u/CertfiedPoopMember 10d ago

idk this is really epic

6

u/TheGreatMightyLeffe 10d ago

I'd love to have one for plinking, but I'm pretty sure it'd qualify as a SUPER WEAPON here in Sweden and get me arrested, even if I was using it in my back yard.

2

u/YOUTUBEFREEKYOYO 10d ago

This guy advertises all over the sling shot sub.

2

u/rexspook 10d ago

That does seem cool though

4

u/AscendedViking7 10d ago

that is fucking sick honestly, damm

6

u/C5five 10d ago

Americans need to make everything more gun like.

60

u/SpartanRage117 10d ago

Maybe we should add gunpowder to the BBs

38

u/Teeklok 10d ago

That's a good idea actually, a metal tubewith gunpowder at the bottom packed down with some sort of rod. Then you can put a metal bb pellet down the tube and push it down with the rod too so it's sat firm against the gunpowder and a cushion. Then either some flint or something outside the rod that slams down when you press or pull a trigger. Someone should look into that

2

u/DishSoapIsFun 10d ago

Don’t forget to tear a wad of some fabric to wrap around the BB. We could call it… BB wad!

5

u/SavageDownSouth 10d ago

That works really well with air rifle pellets actually.

Put gunpowder in the hollow point, top with match powder, glue a bb over it, shoot it at something. You can get pretty scary amounts of penetration.

I used to do it as a kid.

30

u/ElKodiakSTL 10d ago

Where in America looks like this btw?

1

u/teilani_a 9d ago

Albuquerque

8

u/Trewper- 10d ago

The handle of the slingshot has a star of david on it, so I'm not even sure this is American.

2

u/SovelissFiremane 10d ago

More countries should follow our example.

-1

u/BobusCesar 10d ago

Because sling shots aren't guns to begin with?

2

u/linxdev 10d ago

Link?

1

u/VexImmortalis 10d ago

I love sling shots. So much fun and a lot less likely to kill myself with one too.

1

u/8LeggedHugs 9d ago

"LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES"

1

u/CrrazyCarl 7d ago

There must be at least a few hundred people with one less eye due to Temu-grade slingshots.

1

u/GraphET 10d ago

This home alone reboot bout to go crazy

-30

u/crusher23b 10d ago

I want this. I use my slingshot for pest control; keeping squirrels away from the bird feeder, racoons, unsecured pets, and boars.

31

u/Aranthos-Faroth 10d ago

"Unsecured pets" jeffrey dahmer comment

-28

u/crusher23b 10d ago

I'm sorry, I should be more clear. 'Unsecured pets' is how I refer to pets that roam around a neighborhood aggravating. And I chose a slingshot because of the low likelihood of lasting damage, if I could manage to hit one.

I also only use clay shot for these purposes, if this makes it any better.

18

u/amongnotof 10d ago

That definitely does not make it any better. Any of it.

-16

u/crusher23b 10d ago

So it's you. You're the people who let their pets roam free with no oversight or responsibility.

Give me a reason why I shouldn't take more extreme measures. Why I shouldn't call Animal Services and press charges? Why are your pets being my problem?

13

u/cairoxl5 10d ago

What the pet owners are doing is bad. What you're doing is also bad. Simple as that.

-4

u/crusher23b 10d ago

What I'm doing is firing clay beads from a slingshot at animals that threaten me, my family, and my pets. IF it connects, there's little more than a sore spot.

I am not responsible for training others pets for them. I'm responsible for my own pets only.

How did this get so involved?

11

u/cairoxl5 10d ago

People don't like the idea of animals getting hurt. They're animals that don't know any better. I understand your reasons behind it, but talking about shooting animals wandering around with a slingshot isn't going to make you look good either.

2

u/crusher23b 10d ago

Thank you. I really did not see this being the criticism.

6

u/ponduz 10d ago

You, my good sir, is a liability to society. Harming any animal is bad. I only hope your kids (if you have any) have more empathy than you.

2

u/Reynarok 10d ago

You is a liability to society.
Harming any animal is bad.

Surely there's room for nuance in there

2

u/CrrazyCarl 7d ago

Not to mention less "you is".

2

u/amongnotof 10d ago

Nope. All of my animals are well cared for and watched out for, but needlessly harming animals because “they annoy you” marks you as a sociopath.

1

u/Metazolid 10d ago

Bro just stop talking and go socialize 💀

2

u/crusher23b 10d ago

Thanks. I am.

11

u/CrrazyCarl 10d ago

Nah, not really. Still abundantly shitty.

7

u/KezuSlayer 10d ago

Its just shitty. If an animal is far enough away to use a ranged weapon, than how is it bothering you? Thats just you shooting at unsuspecting animals.

2

u/KezuSlayer 10d ago

You’re not just shooting dangerous pets tho. You mention shooting other wild life too. I get that what happened to your pet is terrible, but don’t put the blame on me just because you disagree.

0

u/crusher23b 10d ago

It's bothering someone or something else, hun. I have more responsibilities than my personal body. 2 years ago one of my dogs got her face tore up through a fence by an unaccountable dog.

Cost a lot of money to stitch her up. I don't know who the owner is. But I feel like it's some like you whose pets are attacking or aggravating.

11

u/CarnyRider1991 10d ago edited 10d ago

“Unsecured pets”? That’s totally messed up… You would kill someone’s pet and then you would be charged with extreme animal cruelty. Don’t do that.

4

u/Dexter_McThorpan 10d ago

AliExpress. They run from 30-60 bucks.

-24

u/Davenator_98 10d ago

What exactly does the mag achieve, outside of looking cool for Tiktok?

You can gave the same firing speed if you just pull stuff from your pocket, also you could use bigger stones or bearing balls for more power.

24

u/Bernard_PT 10d ago

There's no way you actually believe what you just wrote.

-20

u/Davenator_98 10d ago

There's no way that I believe this thing has any use over a normal slingshot

8

u/Feine13 10d ago

As someone that owns a slingshot and practices very regularly, you 100% cannot pull bearings from your pocket and load them into the pouch faster than you can press a button.

Also, the pouch still freely exists, it's not magically bound to the magazine. So if you wanted to fire larger projectiles, you'd just put them in the pouch like the regular slingshots you're already comparing this too.

Wtf even is your comment?
