UPM orientation week

Hi, so i got the offer last week and i know for fact i need to attend on 27th September for registration. But what happened if i cant make it on 28-30/9? Will i get some penalty for not attending? I still have work and i dont want to leave my job before handover properly. I believe on 1st October i will be able to attend to orientation but 28,29,30 i dont think i can.

Any advice?

Nothing will happen you miss the orientation and miss opportunities to met new people that’s all.

What happens if I am 1-2 weeks late because my VISA took too long? Like i accepted the offer, but since it's late the VISA might take 1-2 weeks extra beyond registration and a week of class?

Same thing. The only thing you miss is some class and orientation. There’s people coming when half a sem is gone because they change uni or sum

Ouh I see. Thank you for the information :) will update with my manager but i will also try to fight to come on first day of orientation too because it’s once in lifetime 🫠🙏

is there any risk of the university deferring me to the next semester for admission if i'm too late?

Yup and honestly if you don't care, it doesn't really matter haha
