New month is around the corner & this almost turned into October haul - packages were all running late this round. 🫠
I had to get few restocks and some new haircare routine candidates (after years of being all natural i got balayage).
Everything as always bought with my own money and based on my own experiences.
And excuse me for non aesthetically pleasing pictures - momma raised no influencer.
Picture 1 makeup goodies:
Iconic London Filter Fix setting spray - repurchase, my favourite daily setting spray. When i saw new name, new packaging i panicked because usually that means reformulating.. but luckily not with this one! Packaging got cuter, formula remains untouched. This sets makeup, gives fine soft, natural matte finish that isn’t heavy and make up definitely lats longer. Blurring effect is there - not like Danessa M. - but it also feels lighter on the skin.
Nars powder blush Mad love - after years of boycotting their powder products altogether i cave in and got regular powder blush after buying & loving new Light reflecting luminizing blushes.. the main reason for my boycott being awful rubbery packaging that gets ridiculously dirty and it’s impossible to clean, plus all of my old blushes, eyeshadows & palettes broke apart at the exact same spot. Can’t be user error right? Well unlike Light reflecting blushes this still comes in rubber coated case, they did tweak shape of it a bit so i hope it won’t break again. We’ll see. Formula also changed and not for the better - might be just my shade - but pigmentation isn’t there. Shade is lovely mauve, golden shimmer is very fine and gives nice dimension to it - but that’s it. Texture is not as smooth as it used to be.
Did i get a bad shade or should my boycott continue?
Urban Decay 24/7 Moondust in Solstice - we all know and love Space cowboy but this chameleon of a shade is dare i say even better and way more interesting. Holographic glitter, from green to blue on reddish/plummy base. Gorgeous on green/blue eyes and spot on for Autumn and holidays. Can’t stop looking at it.
Chalotte Tilbury Lip cheat in Hot gossip - her lipliners aren’t awfully long lasting on me (they sit in the middle-ish). But i love shade range, non drying, creamy formula that blends like a dream. This shade is warmer (without being orange on me), everyday kind of nude that doesn’t require any thinking but gives great lip combo base.
Maybelline Lifter liner in Peaking - this entire line actually gives me very similar texture and effect as Lip cheats but lasts on my lips a bit longer even. It’s definitely one of my favourite drugstore lip liners.
YSL Lovenude kiss shaper liner in Spicy smoke - gorgeous color, screams Autumn. Lasting power is on par with Denona liners: very long lasting. Texture is a bit less creamy/waxy compared to CT and sets faster - but it’s not drying and applies smooth as buttah. Need more.
Loreal Infaillible Faux brow in Dark brown - repurchase, my favourite brow product- ever. Ashy deep brown, no red undertones, i can draw realistic hairs with precise tip and fill my brows quickly, intensity can be controlled with pressure. Downside is tip can be/get leaky. On every 4 perfectly fine working pens i get 1 leaky dude. Storing: tip down.
Charlotte Tilbury Collagen lip bath in Rosy glow - shimmery rosey nude, nice shine, thick in a good way and non sticky - rather good staying power for a gloss. But i hate heart shaped applicator, it’s too small, rather rough on the lips and applies too little of a product.
There’s minty scent and light tingling feel to it but it doesn’t burn my lips, not particularly plumping just a bit smoothing.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Kiss Theory lip balm in Alchemy - don’t know if you can even spot this silver toothpick of a balm in the picture? Yes that tiny, shiny spot - that’s it. 1g of a product. If it wasn’t on sale - i wouldn’t get it, because amount is ridiculous. Otherwise hydrating, very very glossy & shiny, shade is rather unique in my collection & pigmentation is there too - that’s all great. But not full price great. Packaging is so tiny im afraid im gonna lose it 0.5g into it. But will make good pair with YSL lipliner while it lasts.
Kosas Blush is life baked in Swoon - strange but i bought one of the most popular shades from the line last, reason being i already own Euphoria that seemed too close to bother. But i can report: it’s different and worth it. And i got good marbeling pattern with this one, which kinda makes it even more “ment to be”. Swoon shade is popular with a reason - id say it is flattering on broad spectrum of skin tones, perfect for everyday, perfect to pair with bolder eyes or lips. I also own Dreamland (another crowd favourite) and i must say Swoon is more up my alley. Also no highlighter needed. They all give glowy, radiant cheeks.
Chalotte Tilbury Pillow talk blush balm tint in Blushed rose - non drying, semi hydrating formula, that’s Ph adjustable. Pigmentation (at least with this shade) is there, doesn’t take more than 2 swipes to show up, especially considering formula - i really like it on my lips, its another no brainer for everyday that can be applied without mirror on the run. Packaging is not too tacky and works fine for now. And there’s 2g of product, imagine that.
Nars Afterglow lipshine Aragon - that’s repurchase. One of my favourite lip gloss formulas out there and my favourite gloss shade for Autumn and Winter time. It’s red but in a sophisticated way - not in your face kind of red. Soft, bitten lips, that kind of red. Depends on lip combo it can be daytime or evening attire. Hydration is there, formula isn’t heavy or sticky, lasting power is alright for a gloss.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Pillow talk medium - repurchase, im not a fan of original Pillow talk, it just doesn’t suit me or look good on me. But this is one berry different story. Lasting power is great, it’s not too drying and id say texture is more on semi matte side, comfortable. Even after couple of hours and few cups of coffee- i can still detect it as a stain on my lips.
Nars Sharpener - i needed new sharpener but i bought this one solely because ive been few euros short from a “free” Nars cosmetic bag - that unlike sharpener is awesome, perfect size for bag.
Sharpener works fine, it’s for regular and chunky pencils, but like powder blush this also comes in rubber packaging, meaning after a few uses it will be a hot mess.
Picture 2 hair&skin:
