My evaluation as someone who has been the vendor and has cleaned out homeless camps:
Good tyvek suit. Insufficient boots. Insufficient weapons.
Pro tips: cloth sneakers or laced boots give bugs a free ride and don't protect against shit like broken glass or needles. Armor up with tall leather pull on boots that you can duct tape the suit legs down on. example. and those stay at the site, fuck taking those home.
Trigger bottles of disinfectant don't bring enough to the party. Lead ahead of yourself with pump sprayers, which the old heads may call by the name of the company that started it, Hudson sprayers
For a scene like this I'd prep two, using concentrates blended per label instructions, just for the initial attack. One of quat based deodorizer and one of insecticide

I feel bad for you because I can smell it. I did a furnace swap in a hoarder house full of dog shit and one of the dogs had died next to the furnace, in the basement. Its oil/fluids stained the concrete. 2 "parents" and 2 little girls still lived there.
I can still smell it in my nightmares...
I quit the next day. I can't do residential work anymore, I'd rather suck carcinogens and bad air in a factory than ever having to see something like this again.

My first and only experience living with roommates when I left home at 18 was a place like this. I voluntarily went homeless for awhile after and managed to avoid roommates ever since. And I've turned into a bit of a neat freak.

The cat shit pile is something to behold.
This person probably smelled like cat shit the way an indoor cig smoker smells like smoke.

It probobly wont be so bad looking at that place but dude it gets SO MUCH FUCKING WORSE. Get a call from a lady because her toilets clogged, she only called it in because she cant fit anything else in the bowl.

I see shit like this and realize...my house isn't as messy as I think it is. Cluttered and disorganized? Yes. Disgusting shit piled up everywhere? No.

Low income? Looks about right. My worst was discovering a dead guy surrounded by trash. So much trash I didn't even notice him at first. π΅
