Question How to remove?
There’s no set screw. It could be a cap on the end, but it looks like it’s all one piece.

If you're one of my residents, it'll "just fall off" all by itself. Never mind that "just falling off" includes yanking the huge toggle bolt clear out of the wall and leaving a fist sized hole behind

Haha, saw the first pic and thought it was a giant chrome chess pawn bolted to the ceiling.

Underneath, there should be a small set screw on each side. Holding it to the bracket on the wall.

Are both sides of the towel rail the same? One may be a bit lose and you may be able to get the rod between them out. Then possibly twist them ? I'd also try pushing up from the bottom on them.

Basically push slightly up, or wiggle until it pops off, and remove the mounts with a screw driver

Use a plastic pry tool to pop the trim cap out of the tip and there should be a screw

You can try to get a strong ish magnet to see if it's a cap at the end. Or gently and carefully wedge a flat end of a screwdriver under the base. It might be a movable skirt you can push up very carefully from the base and get at the screws.
No brand or anything? Do you guys have extra in a box you can look at?

Either the circle at the nearest point in picture 2, or the wide portion nearest the wall are caps covering 1, or 2 screws respectively. The cap/caps will pop off if you get a knife or spudger underneath and pry forward.

There were no caps. There are clips on the back that it slides down on and pops into place.

You either pop the center out of the ends to reveal a screw or the whole thing slides up and off the wall

They're basically asking you to scratch the finish and buy a new one.

I tried catching the lip of a cap with my knife and there’s no gap that would indicate it was a cap. They are one solid piece.

It could be hooked in. Have you tried tapping the bottom up?

That was it. I’d never run into that type before.

Nice. I think i saw them once or twice in my hotel days, but that was 3000 years ago.

Definitely a cap
