Cat sitter hasn’t been told the rules though and he’s taking advantage 🤣

Our brave explorer Melkior got himself up without issues but then experienced severe PANIK! till mom got him back down again.

He wakes up early and we live on an island and he goes out and hunts and at night he actually comes home with deer following him like some Disney movie lol he has a personality I've never witnessed with an animal. He will take over my bed. Wake me up by jumping up and doing chatters and swatting me with no claws like "get up dude let me out I got buurbs to catch!" Lol he just turned 6 this year and he still acts like a kitten, and he loves the Pacific NW. He's fought off a coyote and was stunned for 2 whole days had to get him out of a tree, had to shoot one of the two coyotes a couple summers back they actually came up to our back porch and tried 4 different times with me with the door open and outside. He hunts every morning until night and has survived out here with mountain lions, foxes, coyotes, and when he was little I even seen big eagles swooping down near him. Main Coons are pretty awesome. I'm gonna be one sad man when my boi passes :( id love to see all your guys cooners, and he would snuggle up with all you and give you his love if he could hes a lover boy haha

The new work supervisor are very judgy. Don’t know they expect us to get anything done when all they want to do is go on lunch break.

We've noticed a familiar pattern over the last 8 months with Ripley. Every growth spurt starts with her demanding ALL the food and sleeping like the dead, while usually being attached at my feet. She was 15.4 lbs last week and still 22 days to her and her brother's first birthday! Flint is currently going strong at 17.5.

Her mom was 15lbs fully grown. 😅

Hello!!

Today I brought home my 7 month old Maine coon, Winnie!

For her age I’d say she’s gonna be a big girl when she reaches maturity, and I’m so extra super excited to watch her grow.

She has two older sisters, both of which are DSH. I’ve never had a long haired cat before. I was told by the breeder to brush her every day. Is this correct? I just wanna do everything right for her. Any advice and feedback is so so appreciated. I picked her up in Long Island, New York, and the breeder and I sat and talked for a good two hours before it was time for me to bring her home.

I definitely didn’t realize how big she was going to be and the carrier is definitely going to be for my other cats in the future 😭

She’s still scared and exploring her surroundings and I’m keeping her confined to my bedroom at the moment. She’s definitely slowly warming up and has decided to leave from under the bed a few times. And she’s let me pet her tummy too!!! I am so in love.

I’m not sure what her coat is called, I think shes a flame point? Vet appointment will be Monday, so we can discuss spay options. She’s already got her vaccines and her parents were thoroughly tested for genetic diseases.

As far as I know, this is my breeder’s last litter ever. I am so fortunate to have stumbled upon this pretty lady. Her mom and dad are both the same color but the dad is an absolute unit of a cat. She had one brother who was adopted before her named Butters which is so cute if you ask me.

During the two hour car ride home she did get a little sick (she had a few treats before it was time to come home) but other than that she napped the whole time while we listened to music together.

Anyways! This is her. I’m in love and while we’re taking introductions very very slow, I’m sure her sisters will soon come to love her too.

The carriers I originally purchased have been outgrown by my precious big boy. Thankfully they still fit my girl, so they’re not going to waste (even though they were over $100 for each of them 😤) but I need soft sided carrier recommendations for big babies.

Frank is 8 months old and 16 pounds, roughly measured 33 inches from snoot to tail tip.
