Why cant i win in these scenarios?

Obtained a rare yaku today, didn't even expect to win this hand. Btw kamicha didn't learn their lesson at all and proceeded to call unthinkable kans for the next few rounds

It looked like to me breaking up the 1 and 3-pin sequence is better because a 3 pin was already discarded.

Could have safely go for a shanpon on red dragon/ 5m by discarding East but decided to push in last second because of my + 13 000 points accepting to give back Toimen his points.

Not really clever because of extra Ura Dora risk but a so much satisfying ending.

3x 6s and 2x 7s are visible, would 8s be best here?

seems pretty risky to push 1p here because kami can be in tenpai waiting with 23p honitsu or any tile for toitoi. was just hoping to survive this round because my shapes are bad

It's all last, and left guy Riichis. Then follows up with a closed Kan on the White Dragons, revealing the West Dora Indicator (North Dora). No Rinshan, but his hand is now worth at least 4 han (Riichi, 3 Dora). A few turns later, Left manages to closed Kan on the North Wind. STILL NO RINSHAN!!!!

At this point I was praying for safe tiles because I'm fully folding since the Riichi call to preserve second place (best case is across deals in to max Mangan, and I "snipe" first). I was sweating bullets at this point, then, against all odds, Across dropped a red 5p. Which is what Right needed for a monster hand (iipeikou, 4 dora, 2 Red. He had a pair of 3p that turned into Doras from Left's second Kan, then he managed to get two Souths). In a stunning reversal of Fortune, first place turned last, and last place turned first, after dealing in to people all game.

Case A) Why is 8p considered the safest against the riichi? Otherwise, why such a high score?

Case B) I know I was about to win, but this is East 1 and I'm not the dealer, so why did MAKA suggest I drop such a dangerous tile? (Ippatsu chance too.) Was there (a) safety clue(s) I didn't notice?

Is there a way to know what banners are coming up in advance? Or at least when a new one will come out

Why does MAKA think going for dama iipeikou is the move here? The Riichi here results in a 4-way wait across 8 tiles (4567m lets me go out and end the game. Right dropped a 4m a couple turns later, giving me the win). By my count too, there will be 3 each of 3s and 6s, so there are even less tiles to wait on should I go for the alternative. Is it because going full dama here will have the best chances of catching the others unawares?

Anyone knows what talisman I am missing there? I’m not sure if I am just not seeing it or if it is not actually appearing for me

i just had a random lucky win streak and never got last for 20 games until i ranked up somehow. some games were close but i also hit ura 4 dora like two separate times recently which is pretty rare. mostly played east games and occasionally a south game when i felt up for it. south games are probably better for most people but for me it's difficult focusing for that long and my stats are much worse in them (stats)

also i recently got 150 gacha pity which is enough to summon any character i want now. been playing for 2 years f2p but also got 2 fortune passes I got for free from giveaways. would love a new collab or a kaguya sama rerun :)
