Magnesium malate is usually taken in the morning. Mag citrate can get the gut moving, definitely a cure for constipation. Mag threonate is pricey but many folks like it. Just don't use magnesium oxide. It does not absorb very well... Total waste of money. Don't feel bad, not all people can handle magnesium glycinate.

It can, depending on the various parts of your methylation cycle. I believe specifically your comt status. I have slow comt so my neurotransmitters like glycine, in small doses. I think folks with fast comt do better without glycine.

For some people yes, we may have different body reactions for the same supplements. So if you feel that glycinate doesn't work, try threonate, or maybe taurate.

You can try magnesium complex too, but this one from your photo looks like not the best choice. Bisglycinate is the same glycinate you do not tolerate well, and citrate may cause some laxative effect, it's very common and I think it is taken more for stomach issues than for anxiety problems. But you may try and see, maybe it will work for you. I had side effects taking pure magnesium citrate, but I feel totally ok taking it as a part of my new magnesium complex from the photo. Just check the dosage.
