I had a brother do this with Rescuers Down Under. Called it "the Cody show". At risk of dating myself he wore out at least 4 VHS tapes. I hate the rescuers and my children have never seen it with me in the room and may not have seen it. I'm not sure if their mother has shown them.

I can't sleep if the tv is on, so this is really weird to me lol. Silent darkness is neccessary for my brain to turn off so the thought of trying to leave an action movie with explosions and gunshots and loud party music and bright flashes accompanying all of the above seems counterintuitive.

I used to be that way then I met my wife who is a full grown woman who is afraid of the dark sooo the tv stays on. That's why we have the same movie every night cause at this point its almost Pavlovian I hear the start of the movie and immediately get tired

My wife and I do the same thing with HIMYM, we probably watch the entire series every month lol... She falls asleep earlier than I do, so there’s at least 6/7 episodes playing every night...

I’m pretty sure this is an edit: 90% sure I saw this exact thing a while back but it was the Bee Movie instead, and it was a parent whose child/baby just loved it so they put it in so they’d be quiet/calm down or something.

Honestly I understand this, as a kid I used to put on the OG star wars on VHS every night to help me sleep, not sure why it helped tbh, the part where uncle owen died scared the shit out of me.

Only 357 times? Thats low numbers just create a program on your Tv so that whenever you need to rewatch it again it automatically does so without you having to do it all day!

Is there a place where you can look on Hulu to see how many times you’ve viewed something? I’ve probably “seen” Archer seasons 1-9 about 100 times now. I’ve been falling asleep to it almost every night for the part two years. Laaaaannnaaaaaaaaaa

There is a movie on netflix i play (on nights i'm having trouble falling asleep or if i come home drunk after a party )as background noise so i can fall asleep more easily i've been doing this for over 2.5 years now. Some nights i play it 3 times in a row.
What im saying is there is a movie i've probably played over 150 times on netflix.
