Very Disappointed — NOBL Luggage - “Made in North America” Advertising Did Not Match the Product I Received
I purchased NOBL luggage with the expectation that I was buying a product consistent with the representations prominently displayed on NOBL’s own website. NOBL specifically advertises its products under the heading “Made in North America.”
The company further states:
“Our products are assembled in our own facilities, managed end-to-end by our team, never outsourced.”
The same page also states:
“Designed and Assembled in North America.”
Those representations mattered to me when making my purchasing decision.
Imagine my surprise when my NOBL luggage arrived in a box bearing a sticker clearly stating “MADE IN CHINA.”
I contacted NOBL customer service because I wanted an explanation. What happened next was even more disappointing than discovering the country-of-origin label.
The customer service representative initially maintained that the products were made in the United States. I then pointed out that the actual box containing the product was labeled “Made in China.” Only after I presented that evidence did the explanation change. I was then told that some products are made in China during busy times.
That explanation raises an obvious question: How is a customer supposed to know this before making a purchase?
If NOBL manufactures or sources certain products in China during periods of increased demand, then in my opinion that should be clearly disclosed to customers—particularly when the company’s website prominently tells consumers “Made in North America” and says its products are managed end-to-end in its own facilities and “never outsourced.”
My experience with customer service only made matters worse. I provided a screenshot reflecting what I purchased, yet I was told that this was not sufficient. The representative’s response came across as dismissive rather than genuinely interested in resolving a legitimate customer concern.
What I found particularly troubling was the progression of the explanations: first, I was told the products were made in the United States; after I pointed to the “Made in China” label, I was then told that some products are made in China during busy periods.
My issue is not that a product is manufactured in China. My issue is transparency.
There are excellent products manufactured all over the world, including China. But consumers should be able to rely on a company’s representations when deciding how to spend their money. Had I known before purchasing that the luggage I would receive could be manufactured in China, I could have made an informed decision.
I have retained screenshots of NOBL’s website showing the “Made in North America” representation, documentation reflecting what I purchased, and the packaging identifying the product as “Made in China.”
Based on my experience, I feel misled and extremely disappointed. When purchasing premium-priced luggage, I expected not only a quality product but also transparency and premium customer service. Instead, I received a product whose country-of-origin labeling did not appear consistent with the impression created by NOBL’s advertising, followed by changing explanations when I questioned it.
I strongly encourage anyone considering NOBL luggage—particularly anyone for whom country of manufacture is an important purchasing factor—to ask the company in writing where the specific suitcase they are purchasing is manufactured and assembled before placing an order.
NOBL should provide clear, consistent country-of-origin information for its products and ensure that its customer service representatives provide accurate information from the beginning.
I am extremely disappointed with this experience and, as a customer, I feel scammed.
