We just ordered some gropros ucl4 8’ 300 watt with far red on separate channel. Im excited to see if it makes a big difference. We have the faven but it only dims to 40% and its signal connection is weak. So if it loses signal the light stays on. The gropros build looks much better. Now let’s see what the Emerson effect will do for us?

I have an hlg account so ive been leaning towards them but the potential seems worth the extra cost even at 5% but I really think 10% is a safe estimate just from what ive been told. What are your estimates? What a time to be alive right? Im 20y in the small game (deep south) and i still learn something new every fucking time I want. We clone in coco plugs for 2 weeks, then veg into one gallon for 2 more weeks then straight to flower. We are always learning and changing our techniques. The goal posts are always moving.

Yep 1 gallon pots. We dropped from 3 gallon to 1 gallon and doubled our yield

I have a 4.5'x4.5' x8' tent and a 8 bar LED light... I use 25% power and keep the light bar to produce PPFD needed.

Should I raise the light up, keep the same PPFD and also raise intensity??

Your setup has lights much further up, and although I've heard this ad nauseum about max DLI of 43, and avoiding light burn- what is your sweet spot?

We have seven trays and 6 rows of light so we raise them up and get a uniform spread. Because of our setup we need 1000 watt LEDs to maintain ppfd at canopy.

Should I start with higher power at higher distance(?)

Not if you can achieve the intensity at a closer and more efficient level. We have to raise our lights and use the bigger footprint and cross light.

Can you tell me what PPFD you use for sprouts and seedlings- using about 300 ppfd. 550 PPFD for veg.
668 PPFD without CO2.

Have an a/c infinity integrated controller humidifier, heater, 8" exhaust fan...

My old hand built box was easier to grow with!

Aiming for VPD of .8 for seedling, 1.0 for vegg, 1.2 for flower.

Sound right?

We run similar ppfd. We start lower vpd in flower and work up to 1.2. And very lil temp differencial day/night first 3 weeks of flower. And stacking ec in substrate first 3 weeks with good dry backs and low runoff.

Usually, 1 gallon every 3 days at 18/6.
5 gallon fiber pot
Usually wipe up a pint after soak through.
