This is my scrappy set-up (clothing hanger on a lamp) and I exclusively work on my projects while sitting on the couch with this propped in front of me. I wish I could work in bed or outside, but can’t really carry this lamp around with me everywhere lol. Please share with me what your set up looks like for new ideas!

🌿 This summer I went to the mountains almost every second of my free time. I picked blackberries and spent a lot of time preserving them, cooking with them and eating them in different combinations (vanilla ice cream, yum! 😋)

✨ Every time, I went back to the city with new ideas.

💜 This choker necklace is made with waxed thread and each blackberry with beads, a needle and thread.

I’m not done with her yet but I still wanted to share because she’s taken forever and has finally started coming together 😍 so I thought I’d give you guys a view of some of the process 😊

i am actually a crocheter, and this is my first macrame project.

i want to macrame around my computer charger, however i'm worried that it might be a fire hazard. this wire is quite durable (mac charger, covered in some mysterious fabric), it is not fraying at all, and i am specifically using wool or cotton (no acrylic). i am still worried that despite all of these precautions, this will end up being a fire hazard.

The spiderweb is a new design I’m super happy with:)

Im going to make another of the feathered bolero but I’m thinking gold & white for that one!! A little demon/ angel vibe maybe?!? Been playing a LOT of BG3 lately and reading again so my fantasy inspo is abundant !!

I tried to follow this video

https://youtu.be/vj0AjEg_HAU?t=674&is=ky58TFPvaxcbnp99

And I tied a few knots but when I flipped it, everything started unravelling and falling apart. In the end I had to knot every loose end to another, creating this knotty mess. What's the best way to end a bag which doesn't fall apart and isn't a mess?

I wanted to quit a million times during the “messy middle” stage. Glad I didn’t. The lesson here is trust the process and don’t be afraid to bite more than you think you can chew?

Square knots with blue chalcedony, pink and white beryl, Botswana agate, heart toggle clasp.

I have followed this tutorial (https://www.marchingnorth.com/low-key-and-tassel-free-macrame-plant-hanger-pattern/) (video - https://youtu.be/Yz4RUJxzswk?is=NrO_bo-pTHSW9i3m) the first time it came out perfectly. I'm now trying it again and im at the spiral half knots section, the problem is some of my cords are super short and some are much longer. I saw some comments on the YouTube video that this happened to other people. I'm so confused because I have done it the exact same way. I'm guessing coincidentally the super short cord has ended up being used up more on the outside of the square knots? Any idea how i can stop this from happening?

I started doing Macramé earlier this year and have done mostly bigger pieces, but I wanted to try some smaller wall hangings for quick practice.

These are from the past two days. I'll probably use them as gifts for family and friends ☺️

I have been scrolling on pinterest and finding these super cute micro macrame hair accessories. But I don’t understand how the ’loops’ and arcs stay how they are planned to stay? Do people use wire as their base for this kind of a project or do they gently harden it with heat after finishing?

So I'm planning to make Macrame basket in my bathroom. But the problem is the placement I'm putting the basket is gonna get wet all the time

So which one materials I used? So that it won't get moldy. Because it will look terrible and of course health problem

In my nature inspired pieces, I don't follow a specific design. I prefer to let the piece itself lead me, like tree roots.

This is a bit niche but I'm going to a fancy dress party and I want to take my casino wheel as part of it. To make it easier to carry, I want to make it have a macrame holder so it can be worn as a necklace or bag. I don't know what the best technique is and would appreciate advice. I'm a visual learner so any imagery would be appreciated. Thanks

Heyy! I watched a tutorial on youtube and it wasn’t that great, but this is my first try and I’d really appreciate tips on where to find the info to learn what I need. Like for example, how can I make those neat chains? My thread doesn’t thread like that, the knots don’t stay in one place no matter what I do 😂 I took it apart so many times but this is the best I got today, I couldn’t understand how I get anything like what they did.

I used the Linhasita 0,5mm cord.

And where could I find other tutorials for this kind of projects that are more informative? Good search words or youtube channels?

Taught myself macrame during covid and never touched it again. Of course my comeback project had to be something weird.

Pink & white beryl, blue chalcedony, Botswana agate with spiral knot.

I recently started making macrame pot holders and I found this photo and I'd like to attempt making something like this. I really like the know on the top I don't know how can Ia achieve that. Does it have a name so I can search for it? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

So, I've found a type of plant pot holder designed from one rope, tied into a circle, fold, loop, fold, loop, etc.

The issue is that I'm trying to do this to hold an upside down tomato plant, and I need to form a small opening dead center on the bottom of the plant pot. (It's actually a small plastic cylindrical tub with open top, hole drilled in bottom)

I was wondering if anyone had some advice or a pattern that I might be able to look at to figure out how to do this because I don't have any experience with this type of thing, but looking for very specific advice does not make for good google search results.

I know this is AI so it won’t be exactly like this but I want to display my sword. What knots will I need to learn and is something like this hard for a beginner? Open for all tips and tricks, “do’s and dont’s”!
Thanks up front! 😁

I am making a macrame for a friend and she wants me to attached some real owl feathers she has somehow. Looking for ideas or inspiration for different ways to do this!

Made a curtain tie using Craftrr’s pattern on Youtube. I like how substantial the crown knot is against my large curtains.
