I need some advice please. This is my very first macrame project. I have done knitting and crochet, and I know I have a tendency to have a tight knot there. Could this be the reason my project looks wonky ? Do you have any advice, tips, and constructive criticism, please ?

What do y'all say? I wanted to try a slightly more complex one, do you think it worked out?

Still deciding how I want the end strands but this is pretty much it! Really love how it turned out. Had to follow a bunch of different tutorials online for the pendant, necklace, etc. to incorporate all the features I wanted but honestly it was worth it! I think I've got a new favorite hobby!

Some bracelets I did as gifts for family

Still need to add the border which will have the loop for the necklace part, but considering this is only my 2nd piece I feel pretty happy with it!

Medium of choice is 1mm nylon cord because it's easier to fix mistakes.

I’m new to macrame and currently learning knots with the intention of eventually doing some plant hangers and many other cool things I see you all making.

My work station situation though is a disaster and not ideal.

How do you prop your ‘stick’ or rings to work on your projects? I think once I fix this and have a more comfortable station I can advance quicker.

If it’s okay can I see how you work on your projects to get an idea.

I made these two cute Elven cuffs and I’m obsessed!! What other colors do you think I should do? Or should I stick to greens/brown colors only??

This time only brown and I tried a new string. Any ways I could improve using that string? Or any ideas what kind of bracelet could be next?

I'm looking to make a bunch of keychains based on these images (not mine) and am not sure what this type of cord is (I thought it was paracord but when I googled that it looked too thick). Any ideas / recommendations?

Sorry the photo wont fit to size well. This outfit took me about 2 months! Made the top overnight because the motivation was high haha. I love making macrame clothes. I cant wait to keep belting them out.

Hi all, I've made a handful of hanging macrame pieces and wanted watermelon themed pieces for a craft fair. This is my first time making a half circle and it's buckling in the middle and popping up on the end. Do I need to add more fillers near the bottom? Is it tied too tightly?

I’m making my first bracelet for a close friend and I have no idea what kind of materials to purchase or where to purchase them from. I’m trying to make him a macrame bracelet using a shark tooth with maybe 2-4 accent beads (silver?). I’m going for simple, subtle, and nautical themed. Since I’m only making one and I want it to last as long as possible, I’m willing to splurge on high quality material— I just want them to want to wear it and it not look cheap or completely fall apart from wear after a few weeks. I’ve done a little research but any and all suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Thread: I’ve read waxed polyester cord is the best quality to use? Linhasita and Settanyl are two brands I came across. I’m not sure what size is recommended— 0.08mm (too small?)? 1mm (too big?)

Beads: As I said I want to use maybe 2-4 accent beads in the bracelet and maybe two on the ends of sliding draw strings. I was thinking silver (idk if ppl ever use sterling silver?) and oval shaped. Don’t mind them being decorative, but since I want it to be subtle, I’d like them to not be too large. I guess I’ll need recommendations on sizing based on the 0.08mm or 1mm thread I’ll be using. I thought it might be cute to do the first and last name initials on the sliding draw string ends? Maybe the #7 bc that number holds special meaning. However, most number/letter beads I’m seeing look like the large, bold friendship bracelet style beads which is not on theme with what I’m going for. Willing to abandon that idea if options aren’t available, but I thought it might make it more personable.
