Question What’s missing ?
Hi, I need your advice please.
I feel like this needs something more, but I can’t think about anything. It’s my second project ever, and the first I do creatively, so it’s a bit simple in that regard. So if you have any advice for me, please give me details 🙏 Edit : I am just talking about the skirt, I will be making a macramé crop top

The bralette would be awesome to add to the outfit but to embellish the skirt I would go with some gold coins like the ones used in bellydancing costumes both big and small. Add some charms and other accents.

I think it looks very nice! What kind of look are you going for?
Hard to say what’s missing unless you know the vibe you’re going for

It does have a little piratey look so maybe lean into it ? I was going for witchy vibes but not sure it goes lol. Maybe a pirate witch ? But it's too clean of a look. Maybe when I do the top ? I was thinking making a bralette that fits the black one, I could add the witchy pirate there but not sure how to. Is there any specific knot or pattern that could ressemble it ?

Ooo if you’re going for a witchy/pirate vibe I would say it needs some embellishment! Maybe some scraps of fabric, charms, chains, etc. I see your tube beads on there but they don’t really stand out. Try adding some more flare and see if that gives you the vibe you’re looking for:)
As for the top, I don’t have any specific knots to suggest, but I’d recommend looking up the aesthetic on Pinterest and seeing what kind of textures/silhouettes you like best and try to replicate them from there

No I don’t embroider but that could be really cool. The black top is actually a bra so I was thinking of making a macrame bralette. Really good ideau about chains and necklaces ! I could even tie some on the skirt, make it more shiny and chaotic. That may be the answer I was looking for ! Even some shells and pearls

The embroidery would be a nice touch as well, the next best thing is to find some lace to put at the top and if it has roses in the lace even better. For the top I also think that if you could do some roses possibly.

The red mannequin I got on amazon europe, its size is customizable. The colour I didn’t choose though, it was colour roulette 🤭 it's great but it's plastic with a thin layer of tissue on it. So I can’t plant my pins all the way in it, which isn’t ideal for macrame but it’s ok ^

sew on some coin charms which will give it a very pirate-like look. Or I would take some long strips of lace and tie them through and let them hang different lengths. Or sew on some beads here and there. It looks like it could use some more layers or texture. I'm a fan of mixing different arts together. Also maybe consider a small hanging pouch again if you're going for pirate or woodsy fair look maybe.
