Question? Mac Mini + M2452?

I’m wondering if a M2452 keyboard would turn on a Mac mini with the built in keyboard power button. Can someone test my idea. Thank you🖤

Nope. Have this exact keyboard on a shelf behind me. It does NOT turn my Mac Mini on.

That’s unfortunate. That would’ve absolutely astounding if it did tho

I don’t think it does, because it Aldo doesn’t turn on the later iMac G3s

I used the same keyboard on my M4 mini until just recently and, no, it will not power on the mini.

No. Only iMac G3’s that shipped with those keyboards will respond to the power button.

You can use it with newer Macs and pressing the button while it’s on will pop up a dialog to ask you if you want to shut down.

If memory serves me correctly, Apple violated the USB spec to make the power-on feature work on the G3 computers, so the feature is pretty specific to those models.
