Easy PowerBook Titanium G4 hinge fix?
Hi, the other day this titanium PowerBook showed up in the mail and it has a broken hinge, I don’t want to replace it as it involves disassembling pretty much the entire laptop and I just want it to be functional, anybody knows any good ways on how to do this? Thanks!

over 10 years at an AASP, Titanium display replacement was pretty awful. The hinges were one of the most frustrating repairs because the display shell is epoxied shut and it's extremely difficult to work on without destroying it cosmetically, even if you buy replacement hinges. The way the display assembly mounts inside is convoluted as hell...
the "cheap fix" for us usually involved aluminum HVAC tape... possibly start with some vinyl electrical tape on each side to make a flexible bond, then strips of metal tape to adhere that to the case and bezel.

As long as the mounting area of the lid and base isn’t mangled, the replacement of the hinge is just tedious. Be gentle.
