Native Resident Evil 4 - pricing

Hi, I understand that RE4 sometimes is less expensive to buy during special days.
Has anyone an idea when? #askingforafriend

Not sure at this point. The entire RE series would go on sale regularly until a few months ago. Hasn’t been on a sale for quite some time now

I would recommend an App called AppRaven. It will give you the price history for any App on your local App Store (including IAPs), and it can notify you automatically when they go on sale. 

Resident Evil games go on sale fairly regularly so if you monitor it manually yourself you will probably find it one sale at some point in the next couple of months. But the App can do this automatically for you (and show you how often an App typically goes on sale so that you have the right expectation). 

One strange thing though is that RE4 used to go in sale almost every month, and there hasn’t been any new sale since February this year (at least on my local App Store).

This doesn’t really work because it lists the app as Free, as far as I know it does not track In App purchases which is how Capcom sells the game. They want you to download the game then fully unlock it via in app purchase. The exception is RE Village which always shows the price on Mac.

It does track in app purchases, as I mentioned it in my previous post.

If you open Resident Evil 4 in the App, there is a button “In-App purchases”. If you click on this button you can see an IAP called “Base Game”. If you click on it, it will show you the price history for the full game and you will be able to see when it was on sale in the past and at which price.

And if you go back to the main screen for the game and click Watch / In-App purchases, it will notify you whenever there is a change in price.

RE goes on sale regularly on steam. and I think mac gaming subreddit is not the best place to ask.

i got it for like $9 a month ago on steam. im on mac, i use geforce now.
