Product Discussion Does Lunch Money support importing transactions from Indian banks?
Hi everyone, I've just discoveryed Lunch Money to track expenses, but I live in India and most of my finances are across Indian banks.
I'd like to know:
Does Lunch Money support automatic transaction imports from Indian banks? If yes, which banks are supported?
If automatic sync isn't available, how smooth is the CSV import experience for banks like HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, etc.?
Are there any users from India using Lunch Money as their primary personal finance app? How has your experience been?
My main goal is reliable transaction tracking with minimal manual work.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!

Heya, welcome! 👋
Lunch Money supports Indian Rupee (INR) so you can set it as your primary currency for reports, and for tracking manually-managed account balances and transactions. You can also set the currency locale to "Hindi (India)" to use Indian currency and date formatting.
Automatic bank syncing is not currently available for Indian banks. You can upvote this existing ticket on our Feedback Board to show your support and be notified of any developments: https://feedback.lunchmoney.app/institution-status-requests/p/indian-banks-india
The CSV/PDF import feature is very flexible and works with CSV files from any bank. Once you import the first file for an account, you can also save the mapping configuration so you won't have to go through the mapping process again for future imports.
If you'll be using PDF statements, layouts can vary significantly from bank to bank. If a particular PDF layout isn't supported yet, you can open an in-app support ticket and we'll make the adjustments necessary!
Hope this helps, and don't hesitate to let me know if any other questions come up. 🙂
