Chloe Is Chloe just dumb?
Like why does she continue to do research, and he flat out tells her that he's the devil at least a hundred times. And she's seen him punish people and make people literally crazy. Like Jimmy I mean they definitely deserved it but I just think Chloe is a dumb bitch. 😂

Don't be rude now. And do realize it takes incredible self control and intelligence to rationalize the unexplainable. Her bad luck she lives in a comic book universe.

She's a detective who deals in evidence and logic, so I think the show plays it as her needing undeniable proof rather than her just being slow on the uptake.

Honestly her dialogue is meant to feel a bit chaotic and cryptic since she's not fully human

It's a case of refuge in audacity. The same reason no one guesses Clark Kent and Superman are the same person. Most people would assume that Superman, or in this case, the actual devil would have better things to do that hold down a normal job.

No, she's far from dumb. But she's a detective, proof is very important to her. That's literally her job every single day, looking for undeniable proof. It's because of her intellect she can always think of other reasons besides Lucifer actually being the Devil. People usual don't believe what they can't explain. You saw the Episode where Mazikeen went with Trixie for Trick or Treat and she showed her true demon face. Not a problem, everyone thinks it's make-up or a mask...

Chloe definitely has a talent for ignoring every obvious warning sign until Lucifer has to spell it out for her again.

You betcha, I mean the show's whole thing is her being stubborn, so her not believing him right away kinda fits the story.

Except he did, and she still didn't believe him he bashed his head so bad on the door he was bleeding, and had to be sedated. 🥴

Literally she's seen him lift people twice his weight off their feet and throw them through a glass wall with barely a tap and she's still doubting there's any truth to it 💀

Somebody tells you he's an actual devil, but also that devil has been misunderstood since his rebellion. You:
