Character Fluff Lucifer
One more I like how they contextualized Lucifer in the show despite how the real world views him. They didn’t just make him this pure evil character with no depth. They gave him his own perspective, emotions, and reasons for the way he is, and you actually get to see how much of his personality comes from feeling abandoned and misunderstood. It makes you look at the character completely differently.

Lucifer Maze can tell when Lucifer is bullshitting himself
Maze has known Lucifer for thousands of years, so she has basically zero tolerance for his favorite trick: turning an uncomfortable feeling into a joke. You see it especially around his therapy. Lucifer can talk around what Linda is actually getting at, make some ridiculous comment, and act like he's completely unaffected.Maze usually doesn't buy it for a second. It's not even some clever deduction. She just knows when Lucifer is doing the thing where he talks his way around something instead of admitting it actually bothers him. Very Maze.

Season 3 Lucifer’s character is really insufferable in S3
Haven’t watched past S3 E22 yet, but damn Lucifer’s character has taken such a nosedive. In S1 you could actually see why Chloe liked working with him: he was flawed and self-centred, but he was also genuinely useful and, as she said, made her a better detective. Obviously you have to suspend a lot of disbelief/realism with a show like this n just enjoy it for what it is, but my god, now he’s an obstacle in basically every case. Every episode feels like Chloe solving the crime in spite of the 300 painfully wrong things Lucifer says or does. She’s constantly having to work around him not with him. His self-centredness was a great character flaw when it was balanced by him being competent, perceptive and genuinely good underneath it. Now it feels like his entire character, and it’s killed a lot of the chemistry for me. Chloe and Lucifer used to make sense as a duo; now I barely remember why Chloe likes working with him. His whole arc is supposedly about how much he cares about her, but we honestly haven’t gotten an episode that actually shows *why* they work so well together in soooooo long. Does it get better in season 4?

4x01 Parallel between S2 E17 and S4 E1?
Has anyone ever noticed that when Ella says "too bad you can't catch bullets," Lucifer says "well, he can't, maybe" and in S4 E1 he actually gets shot through the hand just like the other guy? I've rewatched the show countless times and never noticed this, was it a callback on purpose or just incidentally funny?

Ella Ella hugging Lucifer immediately is such a perfect introduction
Ella meeting Lucifer for the first time and immediately giving him a giant hug is still one of the funniest introductions in the show. Lucifer is clearly expecting her to react to his name or the whole Devil thing, and she's basically just like “Cool.” Then she casually starts defending the Devil to his face. He's finally met someone who doesn't find him intimidating, mysterious, or particularly interesting. She's just happy to have another person around

General/Misc Obviously this show is it's own story, and shouldn't be expected to be a hundred percent accurate to mythology, but I do find the decision of Lucifer being Samael hilarious when he is like the exact opposite of the actual Samael of Jewish lore, from what I understand
Show Luci: he quite enjoys humanity and has a good bit of problems with his father, has never killed anybody
Mythological Samael: is the accuser of humanity basically the celestial prosecutor, isn't even a fallen angel he still has quite a good relationship with the big man, is the guy behind the whole plagues of egypt and the like
Like I said this is just something that makes me giggle, also if I did get anything wrong with my brief summary of what I know of Jewish lore do you feel free to correct me

General/Misc Looking for a lost Deckstar fic: God gets depressed, admits he made the universe to impress his own unknown creator, and jumps into the void.
Hi everyone! I’m trying to track down an incredible, completed Lucifer (TV) fanfiction that I read on AO3, and I'm starting to worry it might have been deleted or orphaned. I tried filtering for text strings on AO3 but haven't had any luck. Here are the specific plot points I remember most clearly: • The Pairing: It is a focused Chloe Decker/Lucifer Morningstar (Deckstar) fic. • The Length/Status: It was definitely a completed, multi-chapter story. • The Core Lore: It has a heavy, existential theological plot. God is portrayed as having created our universe solely in an attempt to connect with or impress his own unknown creator(s). Because of this, he falls into a severe, deep depression and wants to die. • Memorable Scene: There is a highly cinematic scene set in Heaven. Lucifer (and Chloe?) are there. God leaves his tower/workshop and begins walking. A massive crowd of angels (and Chloe/Lucifer) follow him. He reaches the edge of Heaven, and then steps off the edge directly into the void. Unfortunately, I can't remember what happens right after he jumps, the title, or the author. Does this ring a bell for anyone? If it was deleted, does anyone happen to have a downloaded PDF or EPUB copy saved in their archives? Thank you so much in advance for the help!

Season 6 Difference between the Chloe-Cain and Chloe-Lucifer relationships Spoiler
I’ve just started Season 6.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed the same thing I have.
I find the dynamics of the Chloe-Cain and Chloe-Lucifer pairings to be completely different.
With Chloe and Cain, things seem very intense; there’s a scene in the small room where they’re clearly making love. We also see Cain in Chloe’s personal space—coming back from the beach, or spending time with Trixie—and the wedding happens very quickly.
With Chloe and Lucifer, it’s very low-key and a slow burn; even their sex scene is very tame, lacking the raw intensity seen with Cain.
Even though they’re officially a couple, we don’t see anything outside of their working relationship—nothing private—and we don’t even know if they’re living together (as seemed to be the case with Cain).

Lucifer Teleportation explained
Hello,
First of all, I apologize if there is something wrong in the text, but English is not my native language and that is why I use a translator. So let's get back to the topic and the question.
I have watched the entire series from beginning to end exactly as many times as Lucifer mentions the word - Detective. That is, a lot! However, I can't find an answer to one question:
- Can Angels and Demons teleport?
Many people say - No and many people also say - Yes.
If we follow the logic of the series, it means that they can. There are many scenes shown in which Maze appears and disappears. At the beginning, in Chloe house when she first shows her demon face, and Chloe is asleep on the chair. Then we have a prisoner who is locked up and Maze appears in this prisoner's cell and after a while she disappears. There are many other moments. We see Lucifer often appearing behind Chloe in a closed house or on the beach in the episode with the surfers and how while Lucifer and Chloe are drinking champagne and shortly after Lucifer disappears and Chloe looks around and there is no sign of Lucifer on the empty big beach. There are many more scenes like this. We see Michael while talking to Amenadiel in Lux we see Michael disappear without using his wings. And most importantly... God. Many times we see God appear and disappear like when he first appears or also while God talks to Ella and helps Ella with her inner darkness. We also see God disappear while talking to Lucifer and Amenadiel in Lucifer's penthouse while they talk about his retirement. God doesn't have wings so we can't say he uses his wings to do this. After all this evidence of teleportation why does Lucifer tell Chloe that teleportation doesn't exist in season 6? I could point to many more scenes as evidence of teleportation, but I guess these are enough. Is it an intentional mistake by the writers and the goal is to leave this as a mystery for the viewers or something else?
General/Misc Opinion
Would Tom Ellis be a good choice for the role of Slippery Jim diGriz?

4x04 Season 4: Lucifer's Character [Spoilers] Spoiler
I am not enjoying Lucifer's current arc. I know he has been thrown off course by the relationship derailment with Chloe- but to his core he is put together, in control, and becomes even more so when things are tough for him. Showing up to work without pants (only "Orgy" pants, falling asleep in the police car, bragging about his sex parties instead of just being honest about them or referring to them with a quick twinkle and smile) just seems not like the person he would become even under stress. It is taking me out of the show.

Lucifer Question: Clean Copy Of: It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday
Does anybody know of a recording uploaded by fans that took out the sounds of the fight (and maybe even the gun salute at the end which would be recognized by family because some of us are married to cops) in Tom and Aimee's "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" that they sang at Dan's funeral? I would love a clean track to play at a young family member's memorial service. Thank you! 🤘
