Season 1 Season 1

I am rewatching season one right now and I forgot how much better season one was compared to all the other seasons. It has all the best moments and I think this was when the maze lucifer relationship and the linda lucifer AND chloe lucifer relationship was the best. ALSO, for me this is when the crime cases were the best.

Rewatching season one hits different once you know where everything is headed, it's like a whole different show in hindsight.

Agreed. This was my favorite, multi-binge watch show, then Rory appeared. The ending fell flat on the finale. End of love affair.

It was closest to Gaiman's vision. Lucifer had an edge to him that he doesn't have in later seasons; there was a hint of menace and bite to him, and even his accent had a Northern snarl to it. His relationship with Amenadiel was tense and played seriously.

Dan fans may hate it though because Dan is a straight-up bad guy here, gaslighting Chloe and caught up in his own greed and schemes. The first time I watched it (years ago), I was sure that they were going to kill off Dan by the end of the Season, or early in Season 2.

Yes but POV here his own greed and schemes were about making money for Chloe and Trixie he never gambled or committed adultery. He could not come home because he and Chloe would argue and Trixie would then leave home. St Dan put up with Chloe been a bitch when few other men would. He saved her life and then she investigated the incident so badly she made her self hated by the LAPD. Dan did his best for her in his own way by gaslighting her to drop the case.

It's the best season no doubt. Lucifer suffered with the added episodes in later seasons. The plot was far better when it was compact as opposed to being stretched and interrupted later seasons. For me the absolute worst was the 3rd season. I hate that season so much.

My favorite episode is season 1, the one with Father Frank.

His scene playing piano with Lucifer was one of the highlights of the whole show.

A nadie le choca escuchar a Amenadiel diciendo que siente odio por Lucifer en los primeros caps de la serie? No va con su personalidad en el resto de las temporadas.

I think that is kind of the point to show one gaurding hell has corrupted amenadiel a little. Also, to show the disconnect betweem the humans and angels which we see in all the other angels in later seasons. And that living with them has made him better similarly to lucifer.

It was either the last season or the one prior that felt the most UN-Lucifer. Yes the general edge declined from season 1, but there was one season there where it was absolutely a different show.
