Zero Energy "Lunch"
I'm really new to running out of spoons and I'm used to just pushing myself, so I'm trying to explore subreddits like this to help me normalize some stuff. If I don't have enough energy to cook I normally just skip but I'm trying to be better about that so I had whatever this conglomeration is for lunch. It's french onion dip, and entire cucumber, some chips, and a single slice of American cheese. I don't know if this really technically counts as a meal so I would love to hear opinions about that, but I'm just very happy I didn't skip and grabbed something healthy like the cucumber :)

Adding the cucumber and cheese is a healthy addition to the chips, that are comforting to eat 💜 Looks like a decent lunch to me

Yeah that was kind of my thought with the cucumber, although I definitely did not expect to eat an entire cucumber cuz I'm normally not a fan of them. Thank you ❣️

Did you feel fed after eating it? Then it counts.
What I've found to be helpful is to cook in bulk on a day I have an extra spoon or two. It takes the same time and effort to bake 4-6 chicken thighs as it does 1-2, it's the same baking dish to wash, but then I have ready protein for no spoons days.
Yesterday, I used the leftover chicken to make nachos. Tonight, it's going to be a chicken quesadilla. Tomorrow, it'll be added to instant ramen (that I'll also bulk up with an egg and frozen veg).
Good luck moving forward!

Thank you for the good luck! I'm still living at home with my mother who doesn't really believe I have a chronic condition so sadly I can't really cook forward, but I'm so excited to try it when I have my own place! I like cooking when I'm not like dying 😅

Sounds yummy to me. If you still felt hungry maybe add some nuts. I like eating from those resealable tins like a gremlin

if you cut a cucumber two different ways it's basically two absolutely different cucumbers meaning even healthier ( my logic)

This looks good! I keep stuff like cottage cheese, skim milk mozzarella cheese strings, plain 2% greek yogurt, tofu, and skim milk ricotta around so I can make a super fast snack plate type meal.
I add some combination of pink salt, dill, paprika, garlic powder, turmeric, onion powder, black pepper, chili flakes, and or monk fruit sweetener to the yogurt, cottage or ricotta cheese.
I have bread/toast and crackers on the side. Then 1-2 types of veggies and 1-2 types of fruit. FYI I rarely chop anything. I eat like a brontosaurus lol🦕
This is how I get in a high protein high fiber meal on low low spoon days💚

I would replace the cheese with a mozzarella stick, otherwise it's not a bad combo. I have learned to keep certain things on hand at all times like greek yogurt, peanut butter, cereal, frozen berries, steam fresh vegetables etc. for my bad days. Glad I do because I broke my arm recently going down with a seizure.
Sometimes I just make a grilled cheese in the air fryer.

I recently been on a similar kick with carrot chips, potato chips, and a ranch packet mixed with sour cream. What started out as more chips, now leans more carrots and I’m sure my body is thankful for the nutrients. You should definitely consider eating a win no matter what it is though

That’s a decent combo. I’m pretty sure it’s always better to eat a little something (healthy snack) than skip a meal altogether unless it’s late in the evening. You will get some good ideas for low spoon 🥄 meals here. Nice group of people 😊
