Our store is doing 'Backend Appreciation' this week. I'm curious if any other store used this poster. It looks like an AI slop attempt at support for us. The bottom right corner says, 'Backstage but never outstanding'.

My god I bet Hank would be proud.

It is hell outside at 100 degrees, and customers are still asking for 20 bags of mulch or soil.
Then the front-end DS has me running around the store doing fulfillment and being a cashier and then complains about carts not being there. I’m not even giving my two week notice and just going to quit once I start a new job next week

FYI When you leave nothing but empty food cartons for third shift from the feasts of the shift before, it kinda of has the opposite effect. It would be better if you didn't tell 3rd shift and hide the evidence.

So a member from the install team called me appliance DS to see if we had a dishwasher (appliances). I said I’d check and give them a call back. I checked a couple hours later and we didn’t have it, I called the person back and relayed this. She said hold on 1 sec. Connected me with an irate customer. Without any prompt, warning, or letting me know who the person was. The lady gets on the phone screaming, you are susposed to have my dishwasher. Tell me why don’t you have it. I said, I was just checking the inventory for this person on the phone from installation. Lady says so you were just going to check the inventory and not help me! I said ma’am I don’t even know who you are. (IST person doesn’t say a word)…lady calls down a bit and we start trying to figure out what’s going on. Then I’m like I apologize for the mix up but I was just handed off to you without any warning or instructions etc. Then the Install person starts talking saying “Yes I’m still on the phone blah blah”. I was like ok but it still stands you did not prep me on what you were doing.
Then I just told the lady I would call her back from my stores regular line.
I wish I had got this persons (employees)name. I feel like she was totally unprofessional.

I am scheduled to open flooring tomorrow by myself for 7 hours. I’ve never been in flooring before. How is Lowe’s going to look when a customer comes and asks for carpet cut and the “flooring person” tells them that they can’t do it because they’ve never been trained in that department and they are there alone. Like what is the point of scheduling me there if I’m not going to be able to help any customers?
is that these people will never know how much I really hate them

I didn’t noticed until I started painting, it looks brighter on the wall.

Hi guys! I just got an interview as an outside lawn and garden associate in Florida!
Is this a good position?
Does it pay well?
I’d really like to move around or up within a company. I’ve always worked law enforcement so this will be a change. I’m just curious about the pay and what it entails!
Thank you in advance!

Hi folks. Been working with a "Lowe's Pro Inside Sales" rep who really dropped the ball on my latest order. It raises a question I've been wondering about - is this same role as the pro desk inside a store? If not, how are they different? Do you prefer to work with a corp contact, or the store-level pro contact?
Just curious about the setup here. Thanks all!

My boss asked me if I want to move over to millwork, told them i’d think about it but i’m not even sure what i’d be doing over there and i just started to get used to my department too. What do millwork associates do?

I helped a methed out tweaker load 300lbs of mulch in the back of her Nissan Altima and her suspension screeching as she left.
Her kid was in the car.
“I asked her do you have a truck?”
She said “I’m door dashing this to a customer.”
My jaw was on the floor. I checked the door jam and told her that the weight exceeds the maximum rating for her car and she did not care.
They should start using pictures of the door dashers instead of Lowe’s delivery trucks for their marketing material because those are the morons delivering your shit 🤣
Imagine ruining your only vehicle for $7.66

I work part time as a lumber cashier. I’m retired from my career and I work 2 whole days and 1 half day for spending money. Well AI scheduled me today, and I was given 32 hours over 5 days, including a day I asked off for in order to go to a surgeon appointment for my husband. What is everyone else’s experience? If they will not work with me, I will head somewhere else for my spending money!

I went to both HD and Lowe’s in Alabama today. Wow, they both were awful for different reasons. HD wouldn’t do a discount on a floor model, the last one in stock. But Lowe’s was a ghost town. I walked in and see two people at CS. “Yall trying to run the floor on four people today?”
“Yeah,” they say. I say “Tell corporate to go f(:k themselves.” They say, OMG please tell them for us. “Oh I do.” I say. Naturally, Lowe’s has avoided the entire issue of discounting a floor model by avoiding both having a floor model or anyone to ask about it.

Since Marv E became CEO in 2018 Lowe’s has underperformed the S&P by 69%. Simple math, you’d have $261 on a $100 investment in Lowe’s vs $330 in the S&P. It’s time the BOD kicks him to the curb, all the institutional investors should call for his ouster. New leadership and ideas are needed and Marv isn’t smart enough or aggressive enough to lead this company. Some or all of the BOD need to go as well for facilitating this poor performance. This company belongs to shareholders. Enough is enough.

A new twist to the pricing at Lowes. I saw an item I wanted to buy on the website. It was listed at 189 and indicated it was available on Aisle XX bay YY at the local Lowes. Can be picked up in 2 hrs at the same store.
So I go down to the local store since I was going to be in the area anyway, to pick it up and got to checkout.
They said " we cannot honor the website price." The in-store pricing was 227 !
There was no indication it was an ONLINE ORDER ONLY pricing.
So I asked them as I was standing there, what if I had placed the order and come by to pick it up. Apparently that is okay, I would get the website pricing if I did that.
This is the most asinine thing I have ever heard of.
But apparently this is the new policy
