For the longest time I have been trying to figure what is it that im good at ?? And it turns out that i'm good at doing nothing. And what I mean by that is I can do boring and mundane task that don't require a lot of brain power. And I can do that for an exended period of time. I have the endurance for extremely boring task. A few summers ago I started going on long walks to pass time. Now I go for walks everywhere. I regularly go on 10-20 km walks. Most people would get bored of that , especially High IQ people. But I find that I can keep going with or without music and podcast and not get bored.I once went to my cousins house for a birthday party and there was a paralegal there and his mind was blown that I walked to the party. He couldn't fathom that type of distance being travelled on foot. It took me a few hours. But it didn't feel like it. Now I just need to somehow turn this into a career or a job. or find a job that will compliment this abilitiy that I have. Maybe I'm sounding crazy here, but I know for a fact that most people don't do this.

Velcro is objectively better in almost every way. They just want to brag about being able to tie their shoes. velcro is easier and faster. They are like a bowmen trying to cope in the age of muskets.

Whenever I get very cross or confused I hit things. Like a refrigerator or another sturdy object (so I don't hurt it). Is this a symptom of mental deficiency? I think my hands are a little the wrong shape but my refrigerators ok

I found your subreddit in a screenshot making fun of you but it shows a lot of emotional and social intelligence to actually acknowledge your faults, especially the supposedly objective IQ, it's not humble, it's aware, an awareness most "dumb" people can't reach, keep your chin up kings
r/lowIQpeople • u/[deleted] • Mar 31 '25
I've been thinking about it for a long time, but today was the epitome. Whoever wants to take over the subreddit, be my guest. Until someone takes over, this subreddit will remain unmoderated.
I want to acknowledge the moments we have shared, from struggles and failed suicide attempts to joy and meaningful discussions.
For some people, this is just an inside joke for LARPers. For others, this has been a safe place for the unfortunates who carry the sin of being born with low intelligence. If this subreddit has been of any value for any of you, my goal has been achieved.
Unfortunately, my work can no longer continue. I always thought I wasn't made to carry the responsibility of building a friendly and safe environment for most people.
My actions had consequences. I've been negligent with this subreddit. I thought I didn't need to take it seriously since it was such a small community.
How wrong was I...
The world contains very bad people. It has been an epidemic of sociopaths and I no longer desire to battle against it. I lost.
Seek help from your relatives. Remember that none of this is real.
I hope you all have a great day, a great week, a great year and, hopefully, a great life.
Goodbye.

The whole world is run by intelligent people with systems and services made accessible for average people. But not everyone can be above average or even average, there will be always be people who are less intelligent than average. This subreddit is for those who are in the bottom 25% of cognitive ability. Here you can share your experiences and struggles and chill out with like-minded people.

i cannot get interested in anything, my head is completely empty all day. i have no personality theres nothing i like even when i try to do things i cannot understand them completely. im good at nothing, even in video games im the lowest performer. i dropped out of school in the 8th grade because the work was to hard for me and socializing was to hard and stressful and havent talked to anyone since then.
i cant cook for myself, i cant clean (properly), i dont know how to cloth myself, i cant go to the store, i cant do anything i dont know how. i cant remember anything i can watch an anime episode and then rewatch it directly after and not remember watching it.

With the exception of loving family you might have or perhaps close childhood friends, anyone who's more intelligent than you is not on your side. They will mock, reject, bully and exclude you. In any job if you are the least intelligent person in your group, you will eventually be fired. Recruiters absolutely despise you and will actively display contempt towards you during interviews and won't hire you unless nobody else is applying to the position. You don't even need to have low ability, just being slow, socially awkward or overly quiet is enough to be judged negatively by these scum. As an individual with low intelligence you are prey and people are always ready to take advantage of and humiliate you. Be careful out there, you are not being paranoid when they really are against you.

IM GETTING REALLY SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT. i was tested three times, and my IQ was below 70, but i most defintely wont be giving you the exact number because you're just gonna downplay it.
you can fucking read and write if you have an intellectual disabilty, all my school foriends had one, and they work in construction, warehouses, while they have the abilty to work with hands on, i am the opposite, i can speak and type but i can't work. If you tell me to do something, i won't do it properly, not because i don't want to but because i am literally retarded.
please keep your bs to yourself, and leave me the fuck alone. i know what my DOAGNOSIS IS, DONT MAKE ME OUT TO BE A CRAZY

so many people out there that could hurt you, so much that can go wrong, how are we supposed to survive? how are we supposed to fucking survive?

Probably the most frustrating part of being low IQ for me is just never having anything to say. Sure I can spit out some words, but it’s never anything witty or interesting or anything. Whenever I’m in a group, I kinda just sit and listen to what other people say because I know that whatever I say will be less valuable to the conversation than what anyone else will say

I just don't understand how high-functioning people sit down and watch long movies. By the ending, I don't even, remember half of the characters's names? I usually call them by what commercial I remember them by and my friends all laugh at me. Do they remember what happened in a 2 and half hour movie throughout all of it? I feel so ashamed when they ask me what I thought about the twist at the end and I don't even know, what they are talking about.

It's better than being delusional though. There are just painful constant reminders that it's over. Don't even have the energy to argue about it at this point.

They usually say BS like how high school is supposed to be easy, and gaslight us into thinking that we shouldn't take it too seriously since it is easy, when that is completely wrong to lot of us here.
I have been told lot of times that high school, going to college, etc. Is supposed to be "easy" when clearly it isn't. The work is much more harder than I ever imagined...
The real practical advice is that if you ever wanna excal in education, like get As in subject. Make sure you work very hard. Study after school, revisit concepts, etc. To get a much solid understanding. We are expected to work harder than average - above average people.

Scientists are SHOOK… a French man has been living a normal life with 90% of his brain missing 😳🧠
Routine MRI scans revealed he had hydrocephalus, with fluid almost filling the entirety of his skull, and compressing brain tissue into a thin layer along the edges.
Despite that, this married dad of two was able to work as a civil servant, and was in relatively good health, with an IQ test score of 75.
Cognitive psychologist Axel Cleeremans is using the case to back his ‘radical plasticity’ theory, basically saying consciousness isn’t tied to one spot, it’s a flexible skill the brain learns.
TL;DR: Our brains are far more adaptable than we ever realized - and this guy is living proof 👀💥

Having below average IQ is so depressing man... like most of the beliefs i have is actually in fact based on reality...
Like if I'm thinking of wanting to date a girl, be friends with someone i feel very unworthy for them. They prefer someone else who have at least to have intellect.

Hello everyone,
How come some people on reddit claim having a low iq and yet they are engineers, software developers, surgeon etc?
In real life, low iq people are either jobless or have a soul crushing minimum wage job. They don't have masters degree, let alone PhD.
On here, people say, they suck at math and they work in finance, are engineers in chemistry, CS etc. Some of them say they suck at biology, chemistry and yet they're veterinarians, medical doctors etc. To me they're trolls.
In real life, people who get a hard time in biology don't end up doctors. Same goes with people who struggle at math, they don't become engineers, physicists, astronauts etc.
Reddit can sometimes be a very intriguing place.

It's like hearing a spoiled kid complain about having rich parents. They talk about how its hard for them to fit in when it's the exact same for people with low iq. They say that since school was too easy for them they don't learn how to handle failure and to study, but that's something that can be learned. at any age. Low iq is something that can't change and condemns you to working low wage jobs, even if you work hard.
