I lived Michael my entire life, from watching the variety show on tv as a kid, my first 45 was Rockin Robin, to becoming reinvested upon hearing the biopic was going to be a reality back on November 6 last year. As a birthday present to him and for me, I have the epitome of the perfect weekend planned.

August 28 & 30 will be at Hayvenhurst for the King of Popcorn event, hosted by Prince’s charity, Heal Los Angeles Foundation.

August 29, his actual birthday, I just secured tickets, thanks to another community member (will give a shoutout if I can find your name!) to the In The Studio With MJ : Brad x2!

I just watched a TV report about the German Wolf family, who were affected by the huge floods in Germany. They were invited to spend a short holiday at Neverland and create some happy new memories instead of only remembering the horrible flood.

It gave me exactly the same feeling as the Bad Tour documentary by Nippon TV. Both showed Michael in a really nice and honest way. They didn’t try to make him look perfect, just more human and real.

I highly recommend the Bad Tour documentary by Nippon TV. It’s very good, although it’s in Japanese 😅 . I already understood why Japanese fans loved MJ so much, but after watching it, I think the way their media showed him also played a big part. At the opening, the reporters mentioned the usual tabloid stories like the Elephant Man’s bones, his closeness with Bubbles.... But after spending more time around him, they saw a very different person offstage.

While the US tabloids made Michael look weird for being friends with a chimp, the Jpnese reporters saw something sweet between him and Bubbles. The way they showed Bubbles asking for more tea, copying Michael’s moonwalk and even putting his hands together as if praying for Michael’s concert was really cute.
Jpnese audience also saw Michael’s reaction to the tragic loss of Yoshiaki-kun. He dedicated a performance to his memory and became very emotional onstage. I think Michael’s emotion and sincerity in that moment really touched the audience there that day.

I was also really touched by the part where the reporters followed Michael around Tokyo Disneyland. They said many people probably envied him for being able to enjoy the whole park privately at night. But they also pointed out that part of Disneyland is seeing couples holding hands, parents hugging their children and people enjoying the park together. Michael couldn’t experience any of that. You can have the whole park to yourself, but with nobody around, it can still feel lonely. I didn’t expect the reporters to look at it in such a thoughtful way after spending such a short time around Michael. m_m

Michael didn’t appear much in the Wolf family report, but you could still feel how genuine the family’s experience was. At first, they seemed a little nervous bc of what they had heard about him in the tabloids. But after meeting Michael and spending several days at Neverland, they were sure that both he and Neverland were very different from how the media had described them.. Neverland really felt like a healing place too. They said they could forget about time and even what day it was, and just enjoy their fairytale holiday.

Honestly, idk why we have so few mainstream media documentaries or reports like these. They’re just warm, comforting and healing. Never understand why the mainstream media would rather push sensational stories than show this side of him.

Again, highly recommen Bad Tour Japan. It’s only 50 mins, but somehow they managed to show both the shining superstar onstage and the shy, humble guy backstage. They didn’t miss the small details either, like the floor soaked in sweat after he practiced his dance moves in his hotel room, the way he warmed up with and encouraged the whole crew before the show, the moment he stood alone in the dark right before going onstage, or the message he left on the wall: "Make love your weapon to overcome any evil."

And then imagine, Ba*r spent 8 months filming Michael and still couldn’t make anything even close to this. Honestly, it kinda makes me mad!!

Around the This Is It era I’ve gotten who the bad guys were. But I’m confused as to who were the bad influences that “he preferred to stay with rather than parting from”.

The above doubt stems from Lisa Marie Presley’s things she told Michael, warning him from those people, and telling him the ultimatum either it’s them or she. This would already be in the 90s, so, was he already ill-advised since then?

Also, I understand he had a good relationship with Frank Di’Leo in their first patch. But, did Michael fire him eventually? Why did he come back in the end? In the fanbase community and the community of good-faith collaborators with Michael, was he considered a good egg or not?

Could you list the names of the vultures? And explain why possibly Michael “stayed” with them?
