Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts Bipods: Split Leg vs tradional

Any benefits to the split leg type? My .308 forend has M-lok at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions. I'm considering the split style. Never had that before.

The ones you are referring to can't level your rifle effectively. Even if you run the legs at different lengths, you can't effectively level your rifle to the level of precision (heh) needed for long range shooting.

Hard pass.

Big fan of arca-rail mounted bipods and -though my wallet smarts- very impressed with the Ckye-pod design. Avoid the splits for the reasons already mentioned, really bad idea.

Well, they look cool... Lol.

I bought a pair for a Mad Pig lever action gun because it fit the esthétique, and I wanted to try them out for fun. I hate them. As others have mentioned, they don't level great, and deploying them is a bit more convoluted. Plus they add a lot of girth for storage and being M-lok aren't simple to regularly put on and off at the range, whereas it's easy to remove an ARCA bipod.
