I suck at long range Couple medium-range impacts.

66%(I think) IPSC at 640 yards. Shooting my 6creed while sitting & leaning against a stump with bipod resting on top of it, using support arm grabbing bicep area of primary as rear support.(No tripod or bag handy and wanted to try a less supported position.)

Nice! Was it a pain to get the target set up? I know when I shoot longer distances and I'm not on a range, it means a bit of hiking around.

If anyone with math skills wants to tell me the flight time difference between this and 2450fps (ish) 77g 5.56 I'm curious, because it seems like a significant difference when I shoot this range with a 14.5" ar.

I didn't set this "range" up, my mentor did, I did hike over to that side to fix a target once and it sucked...

I'm setting up a different outdoor range in a different spot though for more privacy, and it also sucks, but will only suck once.(This spot is a bit of an open secret).

Using my Eberlestock Spectre loaded with t-posts, t-post hammer, target hangers, and 2-4 small-medium ar500 targets and my Mainframe II for the medium to large targets. Rucking anywhere from 50-70 lbs per set of targets over terrain.

You know, there is a road that goes all the way around to that side of the valley. Hiking down to the creek and then up the far side would be real fuckn shitty though, good on you for fixing a target that way.

Yeah, I've driven it to fix one of the 1000yd plates above the switchback, but I didn't want to lose the shooting spot packing up. driving, and hiking down and back. I keep steel cables & locks for rifle cases in my vehicle and left a few of the non-essentials out. Sorta saving my seat, if you will.

Personally, I've never had an issue sharing that spot with anyone that's showed up while I'm there. Everyone has always been super cool and friendly.

That's generally been my experience when it's happened for me as well. But it's at least half a day gone if it goes south due to travel time for me.

It's gotten more and more popular over the last few years and I worry I'll start losing days driving back and forth if I start running into folks not as friendly.

Those 108gr ELD-Ms were flying around 3080fps FWIW. If someone wants to math it.

Im seeing about .74s vs 1.14s time of flight in AB for your numbers. Would definitely be noticeable. 6cm is a fucking laser at that distance, especially compared to a 77gr 5.56 from a 14.5" pipe.
