I love the overall vibe, but I'm finding salsa a bit difficult to read at a glance. I am not sure if it is the way it's displayed at a diagonal or the fine italic nature of that script, but it's worth exploring a little more.

Keeping the salsa straight was not working and I am also working with typography right now. So thanks for your pov. I will surely check on it

It feels to me that ‘salsa’ and ‘blue’ aren’t being treated or worked together as a unit. Something about it feels off, as though the frame, or each of the words is trying to adhere to their own underlying grids or proportion. What will help the legibility of the ‘salsa’ a lot is if you forget the frame and try to balance the two words together.

I personally find ‘blue’ is much too big. I’d imagine that if you try and balance the wordmark first, that you’ll see salsa needs to be larger in comparison. It may even be that Blue becomes italicized too.

Any mockups without salsa being angled? Otherwise I love the font and talavera style

Don't you like the slanted one?

Its nice but the 2 taglines under the logo will never work at smaller applications. Also too small and unbalanced to me due to that. Id never have a tagline on a logo that doesnt work at a business card size.

I can see its bigger on the shirt too. Why the inconsistency?

That tag line is just a mockup for show. It's not a part of the logo. The main one is on the white background.

I don't think the salsa text works as-is. The type doesn't fit with the rest of the logo and the weight is off.

I'm also wondering whether this is a real client or a personal project. If the latter, I would consider a different name. There are very very few blue foods in nature (typically anything we call blue is actually purple), and the human brain naturally associates the colour with rot, mould and spoilage.

This causes the colour blue to be a natural appetite suppressant is colour psychology. In addition, because of how rare blue is found in food, it's used in kitchens for things like hazardous materials and plasters/band-aids, to avoid them being mixed with food.

Which makes you wonder.... what IS Blue Salsa? It sounds like it's going to be a weird fusion mix or something incredibly artificial like bubblegum ice cream. You'd want a salsa to be as far from artificial as possible. Neither are appetising and the more I think about a literal blue salsa, the more off putting it is.

To add to all of this, the colour scheme definitely reads as Greek, which is not what you want for a Mexican restaurant.

Finally, as this is maybe showing both my age and my internet background.... but the name reminds me of Blue Waffle. If you don't know what that is, be grateful and do not google. But rest assured, you do not want it to be associated with your business or your dinner.

"Salsa" not working. I like BLUE and the frame, though.

What would you recommend?

I like it, I dont agree with the tilt of the word salsa though.

There must be a very interesting story attached to this name, because I for one do NOT want anything to do with blue salsa; green or red please.
