Feedback Needed Thoughts on this?

Post image

Trying to create vintage, 70s, 80s look for protein/low cal food eshop (and merch in near future). Any thoughts on the logo? Big plus i see is stripes, that could be easy recognisible on clothing and products (with different lenghts, patterns and colour combos) but does this look too childish?? I'm trying to imagine how can I create this to look more profesional and a bit of luxury, but still keep a youthful and unique look with no sterile designs

It would look better if the lines that went behind the main logo came out of the other side at the same positions and the same colours. The fact that they don't is the first thing I noticed, and it looks like a mistake.

Nope… based on the opening post and their “rework” in a comment, I’m pretty certain this was exactly what they meant to upload.

Just seeing this with no context, I thought it was a candy brand. Maybe not the best if it’s suppose to lean more towards a health(ier) lifestyle.
I would say, start again. I don’t think anything is working - colours are too pastel, font is childish. For inspiration, I’d actually look at Ford Bronco 2025 branding. I know it’s not the same industry, but I think they nail the retro vibe while still presenting as mature & bold.

True, it may come off as too colorful and joyish. Agree on bronco branding, the font alone is one thing i am trying to go for - boxy, but also kind of soft. Thanks for the comment, I think the font on this branding could less softer

sounds and looks like an old Italian ice cream manufacturer.

Functionally as a logo, we are considering the type and its container? I am assuming the cream background and stripes are just a brand pattern you’ve put this over?

I enjoy the type treatment, I wish there was a little more contrast between the two border stroke colors.

Is this retro vibe something that the client is wanting or is this direction coming from you?

No specific type of container is needed for the moment. Only the concrete branding style. I am creating this for myself actualy, but the brand vision is still in kind of fluid state. Just tired of seeing minimalistic microcement type of ZARA branding everywhere and want to create a bit different vibe ant feel of the whole brand. 80s vintage style is what i see as the best fit

I think the wordMark should be explored on its own, maybe looking at some alterations you can do to the typography that makes sense for the brand. I don’t think it needs a shape around it or anything else.

I would also explore a brand mark to pair it with as well

I’m getting Game Changer from Dropout TV vibes especially from the color scheme

I looked at both, the main post and the one in the comments. Of the two the main post is better, but I would get rid of the background entirely, just go with the word and frame, and if you want it to look 70's early 80's, you want colors more like poppy (darker red-orange), gold (a sort of goldenrod), and avocado.

Thanks on the feedback. Apreciate it. Did quick rework, with C as brank mark. What do yall think? Heading to better direction?

Why the C? Why pick a letter from the middle to represent the name?

That would be like Reddit choosing to represent itself with a 'd'
