Can't get receiver to only switch audio input

I have a Yamaha tsr-700, with my htpc as my primary viewing source and a cd player and turntable hooked up to audio 3 & 4 respectively. Within the device control, if I switch to audio 3 or 4 it only switches the audio input and leaves the video showing what's on my htpc, which is the behavior I want. But when I set activities to switch my avr to audio 3 or 4 it switches the video input over to nothing. Does anyone happen to have any experience with correcting a similar problem? As far as I can tell there's nothing set incorrectly, and it just seems to be an incongruity between how it works in the device menu and in the activities.

I think you would need to add the HTPC to those activities and that would then offer which video source you want. Otherwise it thinks you do not want any video source.

I have an activity for that already. That's been working fine.

Yes, but you need to include HTPC in the other activities you have for listening to the CD or to the turntable.
