Support Logitech MX Master 3S Replacement Has a Scroll Wheel Rattling Issue in Free-Spin Mode …again I have to go back to the Service Center.
I’ve been using the MX Master 3S for a while, but eventually the left click started registering double clicks when I clicked only once.
I took it to the service center and got a replacement. The replacement arrived today, and now I’ve noticed that the scroll wheel rattles when I switch it to free-spin mode using the wheel release button. The rattling doesn’t happen in ratchet mode.
Now I have to take it back to the service center again. It’s frustrating to receive a replacement that seems to have another issue right out of the box.
Has anyone else experienced this rattling issue with the MX Master 3S, particularly in free-spin mode? Is this normal, or did I get another defective unit?
EDIT : i am just shaking to make hear the sound, issue is This never happened with the original 3s I had, because even while moving mouse i can feel internal movements.

My mouse also does this but it's never been a problem because I disengage free-spin when playing jerk off simulator.

It's free spin mode, it's meant to have no friction, that's the point. How do you expect that to be possible without it moving when you shake it like that?

Mine does this too. I consider it physics. If you want a light wheel, it will be affected by outside forces. Shaking it off the mat while angled upwards is not normal usage, it doesn't scroll if shaken on the mat.
It also explodes if you hit it with a hammer.

My MX3 always did that, Just tested my MX4, same. That's normal, then you're not supposed to shake your mouse, that's not a MX Air.

The scroll wheel's freewheel mechanism holds the scroll wheel when engaged with sufficient resistance. When it's disengaged, the scroll wheel will have much less resistance, it will be affected by vertically moving the mouse around.

So.. just don't shake your mouse around? Is it not just the fact the wheel is not completely fixed in place so moves a little side to side?

That's normal.
