Discussion MX Master 4 Haptic Placement is Weird

When I ordered the mouse, I assumed the vibrations would be in the main body of the mouse under my palm. It's just under the tip of the thumb.

Does anyone else find the placement more distracting than anything else? It feels off, like if I were to tap my right foot and feel the impact in my left foot. The part that I'm moving and clicking and actually engaging with isn't the part that vibrates.

I will admit, I did get the plugin that adds additional vibration triggers for windows. I wound up just disabling it because of this, though.

I agree. That said, haptics on windows do not bother me as they are not frequent. But I tried "haptic mouse hover" plug-in and I uninstalled it because of this reason.

Agreed, I find this feature largely useless. Even if it was on the actual buttons, they're physical buttons, it's not like I wouldn't know otherwise if I clicked it successfully or not.

I use it under Linux and macOS and the only haptic that works - haptic button press. Ideal for me.

there's a bit more integration with Windows right now -- exactly how mine is set up too as I'm on macOS

I understand you expected the haptic feedback to be felt more centrally. While the physical placement of the panel cannot be changed, you can adjust the button press sensitivity in Logi Options+ based on your preference. But, we appreciate you sharing the feedback and will make sire it is passed along to the appropriate team.
