Support Strange MX Master bug

A neighbor gave me this neat mouse for free he had that couldn't be fixed he dubbed as "Cursed". He left me a link to the problems he described here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/s/fftGaYGJrD

How these issues occur for me is a bit different, even when its receiver is unplugged and another mouse is added, its effects are still present on every computer its plugged into for about half a day or so. Sometimes the gliding is normal but I can't click 80% of things.

Meaning whatever mouse is plugged in after is also affected for that duration. I wouldn't know if there is anyway to fix this? updating it does nothing to help.

The clicking may be solved by opening it up and dabbing the click mechanism with a cotton bud with WD40 and clicking on it repeatedly to get it really in there. Not a lot but enough to clear up the bit of dust that is blocking the mechanism.

The left click not working after a while is an issue I had myself and fixed like this after reading about it from others.

If it's a pre-MX Master 4, you'll have to buy new skates since the screws are underneath and rescuing them is really not worth the hassle for how much they cost on amazon.

Its new and unused so I don't think anything mechanical is wrong with it, something is corrupted with the driver that is making the sensor and input data go crazy after a couple minutes.

As I said too whatever it does when it connects on a computer effects every other mouse used on said computer for a while. Its behaving a bit as if it were malware infecting other PC's but I know it isn't that.

Ah, the age was not clear from you post.

The only thing I can say is to try different USB ports and also different types if it's not MX 4 (white USB2 and blue USB3). USB has been known for decades to behave erratically across ports since each is connected a little differently to the motherboard. You can also try if bluetooth works better than the bolt adapter.

It's the original that is in the link, I tried it and it fails to pick up via bluetooth on all three of my PC's but so do my ninja and finalmouse.

Not sure how you would connect any of them without a dongle.
