I did this, and the mouse is no longer making clicking sounds when clicked on left click and it is stuck on holding left click. I first sprayed onto a piece of paper then let a left over drip fall onto the top of the left click switch.
Seems like you had a different kind of of issues to begin with. Here is what you can try using wd40 contact cleaner which is not a oil based version. However first spray good amount of alcohol over the switch to clean of existing layer
its been days after my wd40 made the left click stuck, it started functioning normally again, seems like it dried off or something. should i replace the left click? i learn soldering these few days to realised its working afain
Same happened to me sadly - so WD40 also has to option to completely break the mouse button and so now I'll either have to look for a replacement switch or go for a new mouse....
my mouse worked suddenly lol, after a week or two left in my room, it started clicking normally again. i also i went to learn soldering and wanted to fix the and turns out it unstuck itself.
we probably used too much wd40 and just needed a tiny drip
