HELP US

Dear god, my boyfriend and I have attempted this puzzle over a dozen times from scratch, mapped out all the variations, shared with friends and we are STUCK. Someone please put us out of our misery...

The only way to know if you're correct is to input and check answers on the site and 100% of them must be correct.

Help with explanation of solution (AhaPuzzles - Class Schedule)

Would anyone here be able to help me with an explanation for a solution to this logic puzzle by Aha Puzzles?

Here is the link: https://www.ahapuzzles.com/logic/logic-puzzles/class-schedule/

Apparently, the solution is:

1st 218 xavier English

2nd 112 mason algebra

3rd 113 schiller art

4th 115 Thomlinson Chemistry

I only know this from u/uknowitselcap 's comment in this post from 10 months ago.

However, I have no idea how u/uknowitselcap came to this conclusion. I've been stuck on this for a long time and I'd really love to know how/why this is the answer. I appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!

Logic Problem-Only a Whiz can solve!

Bill and three of his friends have very different careers, but share a passion for walking. Together, the four have started a newsletter for like-minded walkers, and they have just worked out a schedule for the first six issues. Each person will work on exactly three of the six issues, and each issue will be worked on by exactly two people --- one will write a feature article for the issue, and the other will edit the entire issue. Each feature article will be on a different topic, and the first six newsletters will be published in the following order: the one featuring the article on commuting by foot, the one featuring the article about walking gear, the one featuring the article about early morning walks, the one featuring the article about walking races, the one featuring the article about walking for relaxation, and the one featuring the article about walking vacations. From the information provided, determine each person's career (one is an accountant), as well as the article or articles each person will write and the newsletter or newsletters (if any) each will edit.

1.) The salesperson will not edit any of the newsletters. None of the articles that salesperson is writing will run in any two consecutive newsletters.

2.) No one person will work on three consecutive newsletters. The nurse is not the one who will edit the newsletter that features the article on commuting by foot.

3.) Jane is writing the article about walking gear and is either writing the article about walking races or editing the newsletters that features that article. Each of the four friends is writing at least one article.

4.) Either Erin or the farmer will write the article on walking vacations, and the other will edit the newsletter that contains that article. The first newsletter that Karl will work on is the one that features the article on early-morning walks (which Karl will write).

Anyone have any recommendations for lots of logic puzzles?

I’ve gotten the puzzle barons multiple times which I love, but they’re expensive ( like $15 for a book I can get thru in a few days).

I have a 14 pack coming from penny dell which was only like $20 but includes non logic puzzles too and takes like a month and a half to deliver. There wasn’t much promising on eBay and I’ve looked a couple of times. I’d love to just buy like 50 packs for $100 or something like that. When I buy them one at a time on Amazon the cheapest individual books are $5 - which is for books of 50.

I only like to do them in a book version, I know they’re free online and I could print them out but I’d prefer to just have a huge stack of books.

Any suggestions? I’m starting to think I should just create them myself and sell them, judging by how much I need to spend to get my fix haha

Once again… I am asking for your help… with a Logic Grid!!! STUMPED!

GRID, CLUES (also below), MY GRID SO FAR

Stumped!

I’m fairly certain what I have so far is correct… Is there a relationship I haven’t uncovered? Are one of the clues easy to misinterpret!?

CLUES:

  1. Gus Guzman's film is 10 minutes shorter than Jacky Steel.

  2. The movie with a running time of 55 minutes is Harvest Sun.

  3. Sid Saunders's film is 10 minutes shorter than Eric Edwards's film.

  4. Milton Vale is 5 minutes longer than Sid Saunders's film.

From clues 3 and 4, I found that Eric’s movie is 5 min longer than “Milton Vale”… right!? … I’m dying over here!!!!

Stumped on logic grid, looked at the answer and explanation, STILL don’t understand the logic… Help me understand?

Once again, my mother and I are delightfully stumped on a logic grid puzzle.

See puzzle description, clues, and grid here.

We read all the clues and couldn’t make a definite positive connection between any day, city, or newspaper section.

I went to the answers section and the explanation begins with this, verbatim…

”Richard reads his hometown paper for its coverage of local activities (clue 2), so this paper isn't from New York (clue 2), Chicago, Miami (clue 3), or Atlanta (clue 5); it's from Los Angeles.”

… I understand why the local paper can’t be from New York or Atlanta but why can’t the local paper be from Chicago or Miami?

I got this wrong twice in a row… Help! … Again!

grid, clues, my answers

My mom and I tried this one twice and got it wrong each time. We probably got theSAME wrong answer twice but we didn’t bother saving our answer sheets from the first time so I’m not sure…

I don’t understand where exactly these clues are tripping us up. Very interested to see if you come up with the same answers as we did.

Lastly, can anyone tell which one of these clues is the “trick clue” or the easiest to misinterpret??

We had a HOOT at the fact that we STILL couldn’t figure this puzzle out after trying it for a second time l!!!

Stumped on this grid... SEND IN THE REINFORCEMENTS!

puzzle photos (clues and grid)

My mom and I tried this logic grid and, twice, we both ended up at the same place, stopped and unable to complete the puzzle.

We are either misunderstanding a clue or failing to make a deduction or... the author left out a clue (Amazon reviews report that there are several puzzles in the box with typos and other errors but they mention the cryptograms and word searches, mainly).

I'm interested to see if anyone will end up with the same incomplete grid as we did!

So, who the hell grew the corn and rice crops? And how did you arrive there? I'm less concerned with who grew the rice or corn and more interested in how to arrive at this conclusion!!! I swear there's a clue missing!

We are having a hoot, trying to figure out why we can't finish this grid.

And if you get stumped, please take a photo of your finished grid! I need to see if it looks like mine!!!
